The friendliness of the staff. They spoke English and Spanish which helped because we spoke little French. The room was so comfortable. The shower, hot pot and view of the Repulique were all a plus. Can't wait to come back to see the new hotel renovations. Excellent Metro locations. Safe area. Easy taxis service. Rachel checked us in. She was pleasant and welcoming. Siad was cool!.
all reviews » The staff were extremely accomodating and friendly. We had a plumbingproblem with our original room and immediately we were upgraded to abetter room at no extra charge. We will stay there again, found thelocation excellent and we enjoyed this hotel more than the expensive 5star hotels where we previously stayed in Paris (Champs Elysee area).I had two reservations - one for three rooms for two nights and a second for one room for an extra night.It was disconcerting to find the hotel had no record of this second booking.They say that this second booking had not been placed with them.Fortunately rooms were available and so no harm was done. location was excellent, twenty minute walk or quick metro ride to Seine and Notre Dame.Metro station two minutes walk away. good view from room onto square with view of Eiffel Tower in distance. Well proportioned room, friendly and helpful staff.excellent choice of restaurants and bars in vicinity.My husband could not that it was a Holiday Inn because we usually pull off the highway in the United States and stay at a Holiday Inn. Internet should be free... we're no long living in the XX century and the price charged is ridiculously high...Girl behind bar , rude and useless , waited 15 min in bar after ordering, had to leave without being served. concierge not available (twice) when we needed assistance. I had a room with windows facing the Place de Republique - the windows could be more soundproof, as it was slightly noisy, especially in the night. It would increase our comfort, but it wasn't unbearable. I would gladly select the same hotel next time. Very slow reception, understaffed, not well informed.Not sure about the area. Although the Metro right next door helps. Queuing for 35 minutes to check out.Price of the room higher than in booking.com. the walk from elevator to the room is very long.
