It's a beautiful hotel, well-located near the Vieux Port. Our room was front facing, so had a tiny but lovely wrought-iron balcony overlooking the street. The room was clean and simply but nicely furnished with wooden shutters on the wall. It was one of the cheapest options we could find in central Marseille and combining that with the above made it fantastic value for money. the staff where great and ever so friendly,we really felt comfortable and homely here...laundry service is also very well priced.would refer others.

Perfect location, a very short stroll to the Vieux Port and even with a heavy suitcase it is within walking distance of Gare St Charles. Hotel and rooms are attractively and tastefully decorated and it is quite upscale for a 2-star hotel. Great value hotel and deservedly popular. It had been recently renovated. Noisy if windows are kept open at night.outside noisy in early morning. the TV does not work....poor choice for breakfast; the hot water wasn't sufficiently hot in the evening but in the morning was acceptable. Good if breakfast was included in room price. No lift. One flight of stairs to the reception of the hotel.Very noisy (you could litterly hear the neighbours). The floor in my room (5th floor) worried me, while the floor was not streight, the floor construction might not be in order. I recommended the hotel to have it checked. No free wifi internet-connection. The pillows need to be replaced as they're old and uncomfortable. Therooms are not sound-proofed at all! Also a lot of early morningstreet noise.The building is too old. It needs renovation. hotel is located on a dirty street right above a noisy cafe. No running hot water for the entire night.I only had one blanket and no additional one available in the room. It was quite cold in the night. Plumbery not very efficient. Difficulties to have regular hor water. the noise from the street outside. and the location of our room next to reception.Shoddy furniture in room. Dirty floor with broken cracked tiles. Bed dirty with previous occupants hair everywhere. Shower hanging off wall. Several lights not working. All these points were reported on our first morning but nothing was fixed. We both suffered serious bites and suspect bed bugs.
