The hotel is extremelly well located, just across the river from the historical center.The staff was very friendly, the hotel was very clean and the stone walls gave it a very authentic feel. Great cost-benefit hotel in Lyon if you are not looking to spend too much. No luxury, but very cozy. Breakfast was good, not that many options, but very french!. For a 2 star hotel this was a really pleasant surprise! We loved the hotel, the staff could not have been nicer, friendlier or more helpful. Our room was quiet, peaceful and comfortable. We would definately stay here again. Breakfast was traditional French continental style breakfast; exactly what we wanted.

Room smelled damp but overall clean. Not enough hangers for clothes. No mirror in room, only in the bathroom. No TV channels in English. No air conditioning so the room was too hot and a lack of shelves in washroom. wifi is not stable, the room too dark. Can't use Internet. Not recommend in summer becuz no air condition. i didnt have any wifi in my room bec i stayed back rooms :(. There is no wi-fi in the room!. The party in the apartment over our room #9 until 1:30 am. VERY old building. Squeaky floors flickered lights. Constantly under construction. Appalling beds. Outrageously over-priced for the value. Would never go back to this complete rip-off of a sub-standard accommodation trading on a location and a few yards of the original stairwell. Am furious and spent 2 nearly sleepless nights due to the tiny bed with a mattress from the 19th century. Will go back to the chain-hotels - at least there are decent beds. Dire. mouse in the hallway closet instead of room noise ...
