The staff is a fantastic bunch of friendly and energetic young people. We had a problem with food allergy and they went out of their way to help us. The hotel is quiet but this might be different in busier times of the year (we stayed there between the ski season and summer). Conveniently located out of Chamonix - car owners will appreciate that, those without it to get to the centre will have to rely on public transport, on which I have no experience. The food was good. A new chef had arrived.
all reviews » We booked a room for just 1 night and called in a day before to inform them that we will arrive late. The lady spoke English on phone and found that everyone speaks English at the hotel too. The staf was extremely helpful. They had given us their best room (18), but since we had lot of luggage, we asked for a room at lower level. They quickly changed the room (3), which was also a very good room. We asked for directions and attractions in the morning, and again the staff was extremely helpful. . This is an amazing area of the Alps and off season (May) there was still a lot of snow around after a great season. Being skiers we got a ski chalet type accomodation which is basic but good value for money and what we expected. The views in all directions are stunning. The staff were friendly & helpful. Bath with hot water; what more could you want. 10 minute walk into Chamonix is good and there you can experience modern sports plus stories of the history of mountain climbing. LeVert was within easy walking distance of all of the places we wanted to go in Chamonix, and was also conveniently located next to a bus stop. The room was extremely large and the beds were among the most comfortable we've slept on. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly--With great advice for things to do and see in the area and some really wonderful suggestions for places to go and to eat. Location was perfect for me. Room more spacious and comfortable than I expected. We had hoped to have dinner but the restaurant was closed. Rooms are too small. Breakfast is a little sparse and bland for 7.50 Euros per person. Though it is functional, the bathroom is very small. Breakfast we felt was expensive for a limited choice. Could do with kettle in room Location great for the young but would not suite a family with young kids Other than that would recommend and would stay again. bit far from town. Noisy plumbing from waste water flow of other rooms. Breakfast could start earlier for those going to the mountains - even 0700 would help most. Only one ski locker key, which gets lost! Has the potential to be noisy if there is a large lively group staying. no elevator, far from the center. The sewage smell outside. Could't open the window. the washing room is very small and the room is close to the reception and not sound-proof. it is not worth such a price(more than 85 euros). Bar, restaurant not open (Tuesday) Basic ski hotel. Breakfast not good - coffee stale, only 2 pieces of bread left - and we were not late !!. Many insects and spider web in the room. The shower didn't have curtain so the toilet would be wet after the shower.
