The building is historical and be renovated will damage his atmosphere. The location is excellent, centrally, centrally, centrally. Even in the center of the resort is animation and quietness also. Also tipically lovelly french atmosphere inside and surrounding the hotel and the street. The parking also is very useful. The breakfast even it is not so diversified but for a three star hotel is excellent. The cleaning also is impecable. In all the center are only 2 and 3 stars hotels but I think .
all reviews » This wonderful traditional hotel situated in the middle of Chamonix offers great value for money and is surrounded by restaurants and cafes. It has limited parking in a yard adjacent so book early to secure a space. Once you locate the hotel - getting to it can be a challenge because of the one-way streets and pedestrian areas, but once you get there, you will be delighted. I would recommend this hotel. Great location, free private parking place, in the town centre, easy to reach the cable car station to Aiguille du Midi & Brévent. Our room was on the second floor, spacious and quiet, with Mont Blanc view. There is a supermarket next to the hotel, chocholate shop opposite. :) The Lady on the reception is very kind. The location was excellent. The staff were very friendly and let us leave our car for a few hours even after we booked out. Breakfast was worth the money and the rooms were comfortable. My parents had a superior room with a balcony - good for my smoking Dad. Our normal room was spacious. Hotel location is very good and due to signs, it is not difficult to find. Secure parking is available. Staff was very helpful and provided a lot of information. This is an historical property with a lot of character. Nice view from our window of the mountains. Ok I'm a pretty tolerant person but I feel it is necessary to give an honest oppinion having stayed in Chamonix before in an apartment. We arrived on our touring bike in the car park of the hotel......backdoor entrance with a barrier. When we buzzed reception to say who we were etc can you open the door we had to wait? The young receptionist came out to the car park english very good......but have to say being told in the manner she did that our touring bike had taken up too much car space kind. Location is excellent, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the hotel is price is right. Overall, I would recommend this as a budget hotel for a skiing trip. In the center of the city. Clean rooms and beds. Tiny but clean bathroom.In general gives good impression. Location+++ Private Parking(although there was no space the most of the days) Big Rooms Friendly staff. The location was good. Only in an evening a very young receptionist insisted in a not kindly way leave the car outside because will come a cleaning snow machine inside of the parking, but no one came and we paid a fee to the police because we parked not in a propper way in that night. Nothing really. The rooms could maybe do with refreshing but the hotel had a lot of character and that made up for it. The fact that WiFi internet is not free and the amount it costs. No elevator for our 3rd floor room. Was very tricky to find for us as our GPS did not realize that the area the hotel is located has been turned into a pedestrian only area. The staff were very helpful in our locating the route. Bathroom was a bit tired. Internet is not free and this is not accesible from the rooms. You have to go to the business room to have access. Nothing!. A little dated with bedding that looked like it was from the 80s. A little bit of noise from the pedestrianised street but overall pretty good for the price. The breakfast for 10 euros is poor. In general, price is high, but for Chamonix it's normal. Nothing. It's amazing town and amazing views everywhere. the bathroom is small and divided in 2 parts, Shower. Toilet, the Wi-Fi connection is working only at the reception desk, in the room no!, the reception staff is not that welcoming.. Dining/breakfast room looked unattractive and I didn't use it. The hotel does not look prepossessing and could do with smartening up. We had very poor access to Internet in hotel. Lots of noise from the room above - separation between floors is poor. WIFI only on ground floor and not a good connection.. Only one small thing, no kettle in the room. Poor Internet access, and you have to pay for it. It would be helpful if guests arriving by car were given directions. Everything was fine. no wifi in rooms. Dollar to euro exchange rate- not hotels problem. The rooms were very dark and 2 of the lamps were out and we're never changed during our stay of 3 nights. Bad wifi. the water in the bathtub was brown when we first opened the tap. The whole stay to be honest. The hotel is a bit dated and could do with some refurbishment. The breakfast is very simple with very limited choice. Late check-out and early chek-in. The Wooden floor was too noisy (you can hear the next and the above room) Old rooms (need some renovation) No lift (in our room). The staffs were not so kind.
