A wonderful stylish hotel, peaceful and beautifully French, which is why we chose it. Lovely Decor, comfortable beds and an enormous sitting room shared with friends. Ideally placed for exploring Carcassonne Cite, the canal du Midi and shopping in the town centre. The hotel was relaxing, warm and welcoming with a beautiful view of the illuminated Cite. The owners were friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious with fresh croissant and baguette, butter, jams, cereals, fresh fruit salad .
all reviews » The location was excellent for visiting the medieval city. It is a beautiful house which has been carefully and tastefully restored. The owner (Bernard) was extremely friendly and helpful and recommended several good restaurants for us as well as giving us directions. The breakfast was very good and our apartment was superb with French windows leading onto the well maintained garden. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Although this accommodation is on a busy road, we found that we were unaware. We stayed here for three nights on our way to the Dordogne. The accommodation and location were excellent, but what made our stay perfect was Bernard, the owner. From the moment we arrived and he came down the front steps to welcome us and assist with our luggage until we left, he was the ideal host - friendly and welcoming, and willing to assist with advice about where to go and to eat. His restaurant suggestions were also excellent. We could not have picked a better place to stay in Carcass. The room was very stylish and comfortable. The whole building was beautiful and had been done to an amazingly high standard. breakfast and service were also fantastic, as was location. I would recommend staying here as it provides better value than staying right in the city, but is a short walk and convenient area for all Carcassonne has to offer. I was also incredibly grateful that i could check in the morning i arrived as my room was ready, this made my stay even better - thank you.Everything! The best hotel ever! Personal atmosphere. Small, nice and cozy hotel with excellent service from our host ! We stayed in the biggest apartment. No need for air-condition even if it was summer and warm weather. Gorgeous redesigned house, family-owned, couldn't be closer to the Cité of Carcassonne (10 min walk), and well within a typical European city travel budget. The family running it is extremely nice, and the garden is perfect for an afternoon drink. Highly recommended. Location was excellent, Bernard the owner was very friendly and helpful and gave us good advise on where to eat and places to visit outside of Carcassonne. Location only. !F you want to sleep in a cold scenery with few confort, this is the place, The only positive aspect I can say is that this trap is located in Carcassone, which has a beautifull medieval fortified village. the location. House's stuff is transparent and same as all French people they refuse to speak English. In the future I'll try to avoid this kind of accommodation. Also the breakfast is horrible - slop coffee, one croissant, 5 g of butter and that's it. Hotel is on a main road and directly across the road from a prison. The host was unwelcoming and unfriendly. Based on these points we would never return to this property. The owner/manager is not very friendly. We had a miscommunication issue when we booked and he did not handle it very well. Certainly not to our satisfaction. Reading comments conclude Bernard did not like us specifically, unpolite, unkind, unhelpfull,almost swept us off the place, and pretended not understand english, made more questions about our trip than an imigration, authority, and repeated it the other day! Awfull !prejudice I guess. Rotten fruits at the breakfast, only cash, bathtube no shower, noisy place, we hated I do not recommendo ever at all. the very poor breakfast the manager was not helpful understood english when he wanted cash if we needed anything he did not choose to understand the weather turned very cold and he was very reluctant to put the heating on he is a very strange man.
