Excellent location in the center of Avignon, just off the Place D'Horloge. There are lots of good choices for meals nearby and the major attractions are a short walk. Our room was on the fourth floor (small elevator worked well). It was bright and airy with full length double-doors that opened onto a small balcony overlooking Rue de la republic. Ensuite bathroom was clean and well maintained.

Rather shabby.I lived in single room.It seemed nobody lived here for a long time.It smelled bad. If I opened the window,what I can see was only a wall. The rooms felt dirty (particularly the bathroom). There was not a separate pillow case just the main sheet covering a very very stained old pillow. My room faced the courtyard. Nevertheless, it was noisy. A maschine started working at 5am every day!. staff support and organization; breakfast; maintenance. Cold showers, unpleasant smells,expensive breakfast.Hotel in need of modernisation and reception staff in need of customer skills training and a happy pill!!!!!!. The rooms felt dirty, there was not a separate pillow case just the main sheet covering a very very stained old pillow. The lock on the door had a big gap round it, the shower head had what looked like bubble gum over the top of it as the knob had broken. The wardrobe shelves were full of stains and the common walk ways felt dull and dirty. Overall a dreadful experience.Nothing else about the hotel was good. Shabby, dirty room looking out on to filthy courtyard with noisy generator just outside window. Shabby depressing reception area. Staff were inefficient eg forgot to give me early wake-up call, order taxi. A pity as hotel has potential being in lovely 19C building with nice size rooms. Needs new management and total make-over.
