Lomamokkila’s accommodation options have wooden floors and either private or shared bathroom and kitchen facilities. Some include flat-screen TVs, while free Wi-Fi is available in the main building. Guests can book either a traditional or smoke sauna on site. They can also enjoy free use of rowing boats on the lake. Volleyball, badminton and tennis are popular summer activities. The farm’s own products are used in the breakfast as well as in the summer restaurant. During winter, guests can cross-country ski on the trails that surround the farm. The owners, a young couple, Kalle & Laura have kept the the cottages clean and comfortable. The whole place is huge and relaxing. It is value for money. The kitchen for guest use is well equipped with a beautiful lounge with couches and TV. The smoke sauna by the lake was an interesting experience. We are appreciative of Laura who is heavily pregnant for the lovely nd bountiful breakfast she prepared for us and giving us a lift to town one morning. A comfortable and relaxing place that i.
all reviews » The best place ever. Actually, nothing to complaint about. We stayed at the main building and our room was very beautiful, clean, big, with nice views to the fields... Breakfast was also great: most of the food was home-made. A nice way to find out about Finnish food.The surroundings were amazing since the bed snd breakfast is close to a lake where you can boat free of charge as well as fishing. An excellent place for those who love nature, secluded holiday and appreciate the silence. Especially note the taste and love to the house owners who were able to create a unique atmosphere of comfort. The little guest rooms are well equipped, with an enormous kitchen to share with the 3 other guest rooms. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and the host family absolutely charming and very helpful. There´s a private "beach" and rowing boats and sauna, all is very well kept and we´ve had a very relaxing stay. We most liked the design, location and staff at Lomomokkila. The food was also excellent Finnish fare. The distance from Savonlinna - 12 k.- was nothing. We got to town quite easily by taxi and a rented car. And the price was right! We would stay there again were to visit Savonlinna again. After three days we didn't want to leave. Beautiful grounds, clean and comfortable rooms, the best meals we had in Finland. The hosts, Kalle and Laura, were phenomenal-helpful with all areas of our vacation. Can't wait to stay there again!. Right by a lakeside with a wood sauna, this family run accommodation was excellent value for money. The family were very helpful to all guests in giving ideas about traveling. The breakfast was included and was also excellent. I liked a lot the nature around: forest, lake. We had a rest at very friendly and silent place. The accomodation was very good, the furniture were made of wood. it was eco-vacations!. Clean, quiet country setting, beautiful farm house kitchen and good breakfast. Wish we could have stayed more than 1 night and enjoyed the canoe and outdooors. Homely atmosphere, all delights of countryside livin (pure air, silence, quietness, forest, lake, animals...), kind and helpful hosts, artful interior design. It is a lovely, quiet, hospitable plase. Forest, lake, country cuisine and sauna - all that help you to relax. What was really surprising - scotish cows. It is located in a very beautiful site and the staff is very supportive.The meals are delicious. Great place, I highly recommend and will certainly return. The only drawback is the distance from the city centre if one is not driving. Please includes the cost for travelling to and from. In addition, have to make sure about the bus service time. On arrival, we have taken the one which only stopped at the main road. The walk was really long (over 30 minutes) and was particularly difficult with luggage and in the rain. The bus fare is is 4.6 euros per trip. Taxi costs about 27 euros. I regret for not having booked the room for at least one week. Just kidding!. Beds are quite soft, but that´s just our personal opinion. A distance from town and no decent place to eat dinner. Bring your own food and cook in their central gathering place. No cons. Nothing. shower. Nothing. A pity that in summer the shields don't obscure enough the room. Otherwise all was excelent.
