The location of the hotel was wonderful, right on the Nile with wonderful views of the river, it was also within walking distance of the Egyptian Museum and Cairo Tower. It was very pleasant sitting in the floating bar/restaurant and watching the world go by on the river. The staff were very polite and extremely helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The food at the hotel was very delicious and catered for all tastes. The breakfasts were buffet style and had an immense variety of thin.

Best weekend I have had in Cairo since arriving. The food . it is a non-smoking hotel. The towels were a bit old. The tv was small and old. nothing. Nothing at all!. nothing. Nothing. High music sound comes from the boats in the Nile river. exit to this hotel is a bit far from the main road... so you need to use transportation to go around. Sound of music from an adjacent resturant almost all the time. small under-equipped gym, only free-to-air tv channels so no premium sport like English football or movies. Service in the bar/resturant was terrible. Lots of smoking inside hotel, elevators and common areas. The spa was all the time fully booked from external visitors so hotel residents could find time for massage in two days stay. Also, opening hours between swimming pool, bars etc, were not convenience for residents who wanted to use them in the begging of the day or in the end. some of the staff need to be trained!. Nothing. Too expensive. The Food was expensive and there was no lunch and dinner buffet as listed in the package due to low number of people. - After checking into the room, another guest was checked into the same room. The apologies from the staff did not help much. - The room had a weird smell to it, even though it was on the 22nd floor. - The balcony was too small. Unfortunate in my case as there were other balconies with a decent enough size. Service is erratic - stayed there 12 nights and everyday something failed (bell captain, room service, burnt lamps, broken iron, etc). It is no better than other hotels in the area that charge half of the price. People smoke in public areas, which is horrible. Lounge of club rooms had almost no food when I returned from work, just some nuts and fruits. Would not go back. the staff is really not professional, even the manager. because some technique problems, the staff can't find our reservation, the manager makes us feel like we're liars, and we wait for checking in for at least 1 hr. and there is no apologies, no makeup. the service is not qualified with the five-star level. - Poor Service (swimming pool, room was not cleaned once, card not working 4 times in 3 days stay) - No availability at the Spa. Stuff keep asking about extra money to provide any services. Geting car from hotel is much high than others. We had suit they tell us about many service coming as free with the suit . But we found they charge us while we check out , im not going to this hotel any more. Internet cuts off every few minutes. For a business oriented hotel, it is unacceptable. I had the same problem last time I was there as well. Presentation of same dish ordered in the room changes from one day to the other. The rest room was too small, amenities were cheap and many were missing. Towels are harsh to use on skin. Furthermore the bed was very poor mattress, cover..etc. I was really shocked!!!.
