The hotel itself is centrally located. This seems like a simple statement, but Ecuador is extremely difficult to drive through (no signs... anywhere... for anything) and the property sits right on the main road in and out. Everything is nearby - restaurants, squares, historical sights and beautiful churches. The staff were extraordinarily accommodating, even as our reservation had not yet transmitted to them. We had reserved a parking spot at a garage around the corner, and the concierge came o.

We appreciate very much that the hotel is pet-friendly. WiFi is strong, the beds are comfortable, and the breakfasts are good. And the location is great. We would stay here if/when we return to Cuenca. The building and decor were absolutely lovely! The staff were so helpful, carrying my 50 pound suitcase up 4 flights of stairs. The chef made a special dinner for us becasue we came in late. The food was wonderful, the best chicken soup ever! The attention to detail was fabulous. It is a small hotel with very good comfortable and clean accommodations, including a mini bar very well stocked. Staff very friendly and helpful.The breakfast included every morning was always good with a variety of food to choose from. A most delightful, colorful and cheery place with a interesting design surprise awaiting one's eyes from any perspective. The staff are a great bunch of friendly folks and the complimentary breakfast one of nice variety. Beautiful old hotel. The staff was very gracious and accomodating. I liked it all...however if you expect an American style hotel , this is not for you. Noise from all sources including the hotel's kitchen and other rooms (especially if a group of loud speaking students are also staying there). It is no place for an afternoon or early evening nap. Ear plugs are a must and make the experience of a stay there a good one. No elevator. Hotel under going improvement. Sunday night very noisy as moved all the ground floor furniture. We were ground floor bedroom. No restaurant no bar no cafe. All closed. Room very small. Room Safe didn't work. too much car noise coming from the street. rooms next to the street.
