Hotel Rott is in an excellent location, I don't think we could have got a better location if we tried. The staff were very friendly and gave us a map of Prague upon our arrival. The reception man asked what sights and attractions we wanted to visit during our stay and he showed us the best way to get to each place on the map. The rooms were clean and tidy and the breakfast was good. I enjoyed every minute of stopping in hotel rott. The staff were very friendly and polite. The rooms were clean and very spacious and comfy. Also if you are thinking of stopping here then you could not ask for a better location as it is right in the heart of the centre, Old town square is only 30 seconds away and charles bridge 5 minutes.
all reviews » The room was massive!! And the location is fantastic. I thought because this hotel was cheaper than the others that it would be a bit more basic but it wasn't! It was beautiful!! The staff were lovely, the breakfast was great, with a massive selection! I would recommend this place to anyone!. Receptionist was very helpful. Also the hotel offers also an option toorder a taxi and even Prague tours. Apart from that hotel is right atthe center and there is no need to catch any bus or tram to goshopping or view the popular sites available there. Everything can bedone by walk!. We had to bring our laptop to the lobby to use the wireless internet.Air freshener in our room was spraying often, and was overwhelming. lack of kettle in room. a little bit of noise during weekend.... Difficult to adjust room temperature when it gets cold. Quality of mattress, pillow and bed linen is really poor.The same problem at all hotels in Czech republic - you mention the price, but then we have to pay more, because of the currency course. The reataurant was closed for meeting. Unfortunately no suitable parking space close to hotel. The shower was very tiny. noise (from plaza, hallways, pipes), bed. The only downside was the ridicuously high price charged for drinking the 2l bottle of Vittel water left out in our room. We thought it was ours as we had no coffee or tea makings.....but were wrong. Still think it should be free!. Only thing is that they should solve the problem of the smell in the bathrooms :). the staff at the reception was unprofessional upon the arrival, rest of the staff was excellent, the toilets should have been rebuilt already to meet nowaday standards. Had to request bedding for a third bed and although there were three ofus we only got enough towels for one and had to ask for more each day. The staff didn't smile much except for the man mentioned above. . And the double bed had two single duvets(!) carefully presented, but we would have preferred a double.We booked a double executive and when we saw the room it was small and the bed was a double instead of a Queen .We asked at the desk and we were told it was a double executive because it had better furniture and we had a view.( of two buildings opposite and part of cobbled street).Also we were told the bed was a big double!!!!! I think there is a little false advertising going on.
