I use to stay in this hotel when I am in Ostrava. Everything is perfect. Nice room, good Wifi connection, excellent restaurant. All you can expect froom a good hotel, mainly for business purposes. My second stay here due to the proximity of the office and good public transit availability. Rooms are pretty much standard, the breakfast buffet is among the better you can find. the hotel was lovely - the restaurant was excellent - the staff very friendly and well trained - rooms spotless and well equipped.

It's not just in the city centre, but Ostrava is not very big and this is just a minor problem. Unless you need to connect to a specific venue in Marianske Hory, the location is a bit off, even by Ostrava standards. a bit too far from the centre and difficult to access if you dont know how. 30 min walk from the old city, or a taxi ride. -Indoor restaurant very expensive compared to poor food offer: potatoes were reheated in microwave, pasta not "al dente" either -very expensive desserts -Eco approach resulting in low quantity of liquid soap attached to wall in the bathroom (in fact this soap was the only hygienic item in bath) and also no body lotion/cream at all, which creates an issue particularly in cold winter time when skin dries out quickly. a bit distant to the centre (25-30 minutes walk). The food in the restaurant was by far the worst I have encountered in any hotel and very pricey. The Internet is charged extra - 11 EUR/day. The hotel is very far from the city center, but the parking is charged separately. The hotel has some trust issues, basically they treat everyone as potential burglars. Wifi connection very unstable. The restaurant was fully booked for a congress so was impossible to get a table for dinner. The room service has been good, but the reception at check it would better inform about it. I tried to change my booking date, but was informed that it can be done only by letsbookhotel.com, there should be some flexibility. So that guests can feel comfortable before booking and after booking. Nothing. Children playing in the restaurant during breakfast; the price of parking - 250 kc while the hotel is outside the centre. the price is too high for such a standard and location; and 10Euro parking fee for the outdoor parking place is a madness!. They will charge you for parking.
