We liked the accommodation, the room was big, with nice new furniture, with balcony and it was a very quite place even though just few minutes walk from historical center of Cesky Krumlov. The staff was very friendly and ready to help whenever we asked and we needed help with something (hairdryer etc.) We had got also a map of Cesky Krumlov with recommendations for restaurants, music, galleries etc. Breakfast was ok, with fresh bread, rohliky etc. and homemade products. all reviews » Pension Pod Skalkou is located just outside the old town, a five minute walk has you in amongst this gorgeous wee town. The pension is new, clean, very well, appointed, a good breakfast selection is offered and it is staffed by a wonderfully friendly and helpful family. It has to be recommended 100%. Cesky Krumlov is very lucky to have accommodation such as Pension Pod Skalkou available for visitors. Nice and clean rooms, apartment is very spacious. Perfect location, just 350 m from a very nice lounge 99, which is just at the beginning of the historical part of the town. Very friendly english speaking staff. We arrived at 1 a.m. and checked in without any troubles, just gave a call a few hours before. There is a pool and a grill in the yard. Private parking. Great location, great facility,very clean and very comfortable. The staff is exceptional and extremely helpful. We had a flat tire(on a Sunday), he went out of his way to help us fine a tire store and took us there to have the tire replace. We are very greatful!. But there is an option to have a nice espresso for additional 25 CZK (1 euro), so I took it. Basically nothing, but if I have to pick one of the drawback of the hotel, that was the shower machine not warm enough. There wasn't shampoo/shower gel in the bathroom. The rooms look different than in reality. Complimentary toiletries would have been nice. Buffet petit déjeuner spartiate no wifi in the rooms no curtains for some windows so in summer daylight as of 5 A.M.
