This is a beautiful hotel with nice and professional staff with nice sense of humour. A special thanks to Mia that was really helpful and she knows everything about Zagreb by heart and still double check with Google to be sure. all reviews » A lovely, small boutique hotel of just 6 rooms. Very unusual architect-designed house on 3 levels (no lift, if stairs are a problem for you) that overlooks greenery & trees. Lovely sitting-out areas and an excellent, light & airy breakfast room. The breakfast was elegantly served and the food of good quality, especially the breads. Comfortable, stylish, well-furnished and well-lit room. Very friendly and helpful staff who couldn't do enough to make our stay welcoming and comfortable. My boyfriend and I spent 3 days here and it was amazing. The hotel is beautiful and the staff were beyond accommodating. The hotel is situated in a very nice part of town and is within waking distance to the city center and the upper city.It's up a somewhat steep hill and is nestled in trees. The hotel only has six rooms and offers a delicious breakfast. The staff went out of their way to make sure our stay at this facility was very memorable. Kristina, the receptionist/bar tender/cook......do it all person should be replicated for every hotel in the world. She serves as an excellent example for the level of service provided at The President. Staff couldn't be more helpful, booked dinner for us at some lovely places. Situated up a steep hill, a bit out of the very centre (although only a 5-0 minute walk down to Britanski Tag [Square] where trams run frequently and a 101 or 138 bus for one stop can get you back up the hill). The hotel looks rather unprepossessing from the outside, situated on a bit of a shabby residential street but don't let that put you off. Things missing for us were tea & coffee-making facilities in the room and an iron and board. Nothing at all. Bit concerned about first appearances. Building on street side looks tatty and belies super modern interior. I guess that's the idea?. Quite a hill to walk up on the way back from the centre of town but this was not a problem for us. The hotel was at the top of a hill,so after a great night out, our legs didnt make it back up the hill,but the taxi's were so cheap and plentyful it was worth getting one back. Walking up the hill towards the hotel for some travellers might be a little difficult, but you can always take a taxi or a bus, so, it wasn't so bad at all. Nothing!. No parking. I liked everything. nothing. Nothing. No parking. Forced to park on the street. No parking place. You have to fight with local Guys to place your car... Getting to rooms hard for handicaped people. The restaurant was closed. No elevator.
