Absolute breath of fresh air!! This hotel really made my trip to Zagreb special...the staff are ultra nice, attentive, friendly and genuinely appear to love their jobs. After being on vacation now for 7 weeks in Europe, and having stayed at many different types of establishment, I can honestly say my stay at " Zagreb for you" ranks at the top of my list for accommodation experiences. The guesthouse is fairly new and has a modern take on what used to be a fireman station. The rooms are clean, big, spacious, and simplly furnished with all you need for a confortable stay. If you get in tired and hungry, the restaurant in front is pretty decent and has reasonable prices. You can walk to the city center in an easy 20 minute stroll or you can take th. Guesthouse zagreb for you, has the friendliest staff ever, who will help with everything, helped arrange a restaurant for my friends 40th birthday, Jo was amazing!. It was across the road from a small friendly bar/restaurant and supermarket, two minute walk from tram which took you into centre in 5 mins or you could walk to centre in 15/20 mins. In a very safe area with everything you need close by, taxi from centre back late at night only cost £3!! If you don't fancy the walk. We will definite. Although very new, this is an excellent place to stay in Zagreb if you want to save money yet get a full 4 star treatment. The structure is small but has a very friendly atmosphere, mostly because of the young staff who will do anything to help you and give you really useful tips on where to eat, what to see or where to party. Their level of professionalism was superb! Saved money on taxi too – the location is very central, you can walk all the way to the main square, even by night as the zone . We were SO well impressed with how staff were so welcoming and friendly. They were at all times very eager to help and make our visit to Zagreb remarkable. And they did. Thank you to Josipa and Lana. Rooms were lovely, modern, and clean. Location was good too. Hotel is located by a main street, therefore not difficult to find, and only a pleasant 15 mins walk to the core of Zagreb. We felt really very well and the nicest detail was, that in our room on the desk was a brochure on Zagreb in Slovak language! The hotel has everything you really need. The hotel staff is just excellent: very helpful at the check-in providing all information what you could think to ask and even more. In fact we did not need to ask anything because all the answers we received before the questions. The carpark is particular and for free. There is no breakfast offered but the 2 steps away shop is providing excellent products. Very easy access to the center by tram. Definitely recommended. The object is located 15-20 minutes from the main square. If You need to use the city tram - station, where almost all of the lines cross, is 5 minutes away. Rooms are very basic, but they are clean and modern. The hotel is near a square with the trams and a nice cafe and bakery. The tram rides to the upper/lower towns took about 10 minutes. We were able to leave our car parked at the hotel even after we checked out. Josipa was so friendly and her night staff was great too. What a lovely place to stay. We even booked an extra night, because we liked it so much. The two young ladies at the front desk were really enthusiastic and very helpfull. We had two twin beds put together instead of a proper double, which made them just a tiny bit unconfortable. If you get a room on the first floor (like we did), you'll probably hear some noises of people talking - could be a problem depending on how sensitive is your sleep :). Nothing, it was perfect in every way. Nothing we did not like. However just a suggestion, maybe you could consider if it is possible to have a small hairdrier in rooms, specially for your winter guests :). The room could have been a bit larger, but it was perfectly acceptable, all things considered. Power, internet, and warm water was out some times, but that's basically the standard in the area/region and the staff was very quick to sort out any problems. The breakfast offered was at a restaurant 100m away and was only white bread and coffee. Unfortunately there is no breakfast opportunity at the hotel, but the ladies knew some good breakfast spot for us in town. One night is not enough to discover everything:). The air conditioner worked but it did not cool the room at all. A few tasteful modern pictures of Zagreb in the rooms would be a nice touch. Not much not to like!. Nothing at all. Small rooms. Rooms could be bigger ;). Nothing. No plate outside on the building. Many one-way-roads and dead-end-streets in the distict make the arrival by car a little bit tricky. Nothing, it was great!. Not applicable. Room was a bit small, but definitely we recommend it.
