We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Vanilla. Our room was clean & had everything we needed, and there is a big supermarket & smaller shop close by for stocking up on food. The swimming pool was lovely for cooling off from the very hot sunshine, and the sun loungers around it are perfect for relaxing. Tina collected us from the airport, and was so friendly and informative, and it was a nice surprise to find out this was for free. It's about a 20 minute walk into Zadar, or a £5 .
all reviews » first impressions as we arrived in the blazing sunshine was this Villa was spotlessly clean. We were welcomed warmly by Vesna and Tina and altough we arrived really early, well accomodated until our room was ready.We had the two bed with private pool, which for us was well worth the extra money. Peaceful and elegant. The shower was great and powerful. A very cheap taxi ride from the Old Town, about £5. Short walk to a supermarket (PLODINE!)to stock up your fridge and freezer. four tortoises an. Can’t wait to go back. Villa Vanilla, Zadar - was a fantastic experience. I know now what a five star resort feels like. The people are very nice, the weather was great. I would totally recommend it. With amazing views from the room, the pool and you just can’t beat the natural beauty of this resort. We had a lovely holiday in zader staying at villa vanilla for 11 night's with family, great to have a pool in Croatia, very large supermarket within walking distance, the owner very friendly, we booked our transfer with villa vanilla (very good price 20 euro each way) tina pick us up lovely lady, loads of information, love Croatia will be back and would not hesitate to stay at villa vanilla thank you all for great holiday xx. The owners were very welcoming and helpful, giving tips on places to visit and places to eat. Must see, (hear) Sea Organ and Sun Salutation. Would recommend a car and sat nav, made things alot easier. Take a trip to Krka National Park stunning scenery, we also went to Vodice nice marina. Will be returning to Villa Vanilla in the near future. Zadar is a beautiful city.The whole experience was fantastic! The hosts were freindly and helpful, the apartment was clean and well equiped, excellent value for money, the kids especially enjoyed the pool, I appreciated the beautiful landscaped gardens and we all slept soundly on the comfortable beds. Thank you very much for your hospitality!. Best places we ever been,They have 2 swiming pool and emeising garden near the beautiful forest. Absolutely nothing!. The walk to the beaches was about 20 minutes. Quite a distance from old town. Need a taxi/car to get around comfortably. Apartment not well equipped for self catering - had to ask for kettle - no toaster!. It is far from the beach and the city center. too far away from Beach. no blackout curtains far from anywhere (beach, town, dead at night) no toaster or kettle. The staff was not there to say goodbye to us when we left in the morning. It was done by the cleaning lady. We did to thank you personally for the hospitallity and kindness. A bit hard to find, a sign would be handy. TV not working properly. Lighting system confusing. Apartment is newly built so these may be teething problems. The location is actually a 35 minute walk from the old town. No one mans reception so it took a while to find someone if we had any queries. the hotel is in a maze of streets, in the middle of nowhere. Hard to find, even after being there once. There is NOTHING around it to do: no beaches, no historical sites, no shopping facilities. The room we stayed was half under ground, with a kitsch decor, and the toilet flush was broken. The car park was in a construction site. Breakfast was 10 euros per person. It is an expensive hotel for what it offers, even if it has a very small swimming pool.
