Situated on the picturesque Zadar Riviera, Guest Accomodation Tamaris is a 10-minute drive from Zadar Airport. Kolovare, the nearest beach, is 1.5 km away. All rooms are set on the 2nd floor of the Tamaris, which doesn't have an elevator. Guests can visit 4 national parks nearby: Plitvice Lakes, Krka Waterfalls, Kornati Islands and Paklenica. Other interesting cultural spots can be visited in the ancient Croatian towns Sibenik, Split and Trogir. There are marvellous, charming villages and many small islands in the region, where you can venture out and taste authentic cuisine and local wines. Restaurant Tamaris seats up to 100 people and on the terrace there are seats for another 150 guests. Guests can sample mouth-watering food and a large variety of wines and other beverages. A local bus service with buses number 1 and 4 connects the hotel to the city centre and the railway station. The Old Town is about 2.2 km away.

A good place to stay for a couple of nights, nothing too fancy. It is located close to the highway and keeps you away from the downtown traffic. Few minutes away from the old town by a car. A taxi costs 40 kuna per direction, which is like 5 euro. Rooms are clean, quiet and well equiped. Breakfast is fine and the restaurant itself offers good quality food on reasonable prices. Modern and spacious rooms, half of them facing the sea. Clean. Easy to find (on the main road to Rijeka). Very good breakfast. Excellent restaurant, specializing on grill (very good lamb on spit).

Can't think of anything in specific. If you are after a place in the heart of Zadar, this will not suit you. But if you are aiming at a place to sleep for a few nights with a private parking, good breakfast and reasonable prices - it was the best we could find. Far from the city center (need a car or taxi). Rooms are three flights up without elevator. Accommodation was on floor 3 with no lift. I'm recovering from a bad leg fracture and could make it up and down slowly. Anyone of limited mobility would have problems. If you want to old town, you need to take a walk about 25+ mins . Perhaps a little out of the way. There maybe a bus to the city. The hotel is about 20+ walk from the city centre. Reception is on the restaurant!!! Good for people traveling by car...far way from the city centre without car. Beware of the location. For us it was no problem. Everything was better than expected. And the walk to old city is only around 30 mins. No direct access into the hotel lot due to a large median; you have to make a U-turn quite a ways down the street. Also, the gps couldn't find it. desayuno un poco justo nada veriado.
