We spent a great night in Split at Sleep Inn. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable, well-designed and the service was fantastic and friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family. The only trouble we ran into was finding it -- the exterior signage is small (it's a boutique hotel) so we drove by it a few times before finding it. Parking isn't great either so be sure to ask the hotel for suggestions (they were SO helpful and emailed us lots of ideas and a map with locations .
all reviews » The staff was excellent - very friendly and helpful, and they spoke English very well. The location is very good and really easy to find, just outside the north wall of the palace. The next day my friends arrived in Split and we stayed at a larger apartment in the palace, which I'd recommend just to see all the different passageways (there's no way we would've seen what we did in the palace if we didn't have to follow these passageways to our apartment), but at the same time the apartment in . Excellent location and beautifully modern refurbished rooms! Immaculately cleaned daily with large fresh towels and linens daily. New plush very comfortable beds. Most of all the staff and owner were amazing! They met us at 2300 on arrival to carry up our luggage, gave us a ride to the hospital, waited with us, translated with the Dr, and gave us a ride back! The service was above and beyond anything I have ever experienced in my extensive travels! When we travel back to Split it will be . The young lady on reception - I think her name was Brjanna - was amazing. She spent a bit of time telling me about what to see and where to go in town and was extremely welcoming and friendly.If I needed to ask her anything she replied with such helpfulness. The place is modern, bright and clean and is a minute's walk to the old part of town.The rooms are spacious and comfortable and there is literature about the city available to read in the room. This place is brilliant and I would not hesita. With only 2nights scheduled to spend in Split I was looking for accommodation that was central, luxurious and comfortable. I found all of the above at the Sleep Inn Split. The staff were friendly and helpful, the location was perfect, the room clean and beautifully decorated with the most comfortable bed I've slept in for ages. I'd definately recommend Sleep Inn Split to others and will be back next year. Sleep Inn Split is a lovely, intimate boutique hotel owned and refurbished by a young couple. It is a few blocks away from the entrance to the old city. The room was modern, chic, and very clean with a perfect bed, crisp linens, and a great bathroom. Kudos to the owners and their family for providing such a wonderful inn. May your future business endeavors be successful. Kleso (the owner of the hotel) was awesome! We went for dinner/drinks on my last night with him and his friends, and they're all just all-around great people! What other hotel owner will go out on the town with you? :) The hotel is located near the main gate to the Palace, so it's easy to get to sights. The interior design is modern and comfortable. Gorgeous room. Spacious and well decorated. Staff was super helpful and friendly. The receptionist and the driver who picked us up were both great. Location is perfect, 50 yards to diocletion's palace. From our room could see the church bell tower and the sea in the distance. Cheap store downstairs as well. The room was neat and clean and although it was a long three floors to walk up to our rooms, the staff met us to take all of our luggage upstairs upon our arrival and downstairs when we left. Only thing I didn't like was the 3 flights of stairs, but that is extremely common in Split - the other apartments our group of 7 stayed in on our trip were 2 or 3 flights up, as well. I think there was a lift for luggage at Sleep Inn, but as a young, healthy individual I didn't even bother asking for assistance with getting my luggage upstairs. Oh, the man working at the reception desk on the day I left did help me bring my luggage down the stairs, so they are very very willing to help :). Everything was fine. The only drawback is that the hotel is located on a 3rd floor of a residential building with no elevator. Kleso is temporarily fixing the problem with a suitcase elevator, until he can get the city permits for an actual elevator that can haul people as well. So until then, be prepared to walk up the flights of stairs. Its on the European third or American fourth floor and no elevator. Driver carried our bags up and they installed a bag lift while we were there. No biggie but if stairs are an issue for you be warned. No lift to the third floor location of hotel. Hotel does not have parking of its own. The long flights of stairs to our room. Enjoyed every minute of the trip, no concerns with my accommodations. The hot water for a shower didn't last very long :-(. My whole experience was very positive. Noisy street, need to close window and switch on aircon. No elevator, more like the fourth floor then the 3rd. No ice machine. Although not really a problem, the rooms are on the third floor with no lift - be prepared for a bit of a hike!. No negatives. No lift so have to be fit enough to do a number of flights of stairs. 3 flights of stairs to carry luggage up as no lift. Shared block where hotel rooms located. Hotel did text to offer taxi driver who could carry bags up. So that's an option if you are coming from the airport. Three stairs to walk , no elevator. Not ideal for the aging traveller. Multiple floors of stairs. The three flights of stairs. No elevator. the long walk up the stairs. No warning anywhere about the 3 flights (steps x24) of stairs. No good for the more mature, less fit traveller. Lack of a lift. No full time staff on premisies. Staff messed the booking up. I went with a friend and we were looking forward to our luxury twin room. However, they had given this room away before we arrived, and so we had to share a double bed. Not happy.
