All the staff were of a friendly nature and informative. The location for us was just right for us, out of the way of mass tourists/old town. Cheap, staff very helpful and rooms had air conditioning. Standard but good value for money.- quite cheap - really clean (there are always cleaning ladies on the floor doing something) - friendly and welcoming staff. Good location, 10 min walk to the center, beach. Rooms were simple but big enough. During the weeks the showers and toilets were clean and it was quiet.

The reception staff were very helpful, happy to assist with information about Split and getting around as well as recommending restaurants in the area. Suitable place to sleep over before taking an early flight from Split airport the next day. Basic but clean and friendly. Rooms were simply furnished and common areas generally clean. Spacious room Clean sheets Towels provided. Big room, clean. N/A. - the beds are a bit short (for a person above 180 cm). In the weekends very crowdy and not clean. A good 30 to 40 minute walk down to the train station, on the way back would be uphill, the shared kitchen had a fridge that did not work, the WiFi was very spotty, no ac so we were given an electric floor. No luxury to expect....it looks like a boarding school... Food stolen in the common fridge... The kitchen was not very safe. Our food was missing and apparently other people who stayed also had the same problem. The room smelled of cigarettes. Quite a long walk from the city centre - 20-30 minutes up the hills. Fan was broken, but we got a spare one. Other guests were not that lucky. The cleaning staff started work very early in the morning around 7 am right near my room. Also the hostel has a kind of hospital feel. Very basic, no en suite bathroom. It gets a little stuffy at night but there is a fan provided. Poor location - nothing close by in terms of restaurants/ things to do or see in Split If you want to stay close to buses/ferry/train you can get closer. Far from the city center, there isn't hostel vibe. If you are fond of a GDR youth prison's charm, this is your place to stay! It is the ugliest hostel I have ever seen, and its ridicolously expensive for what you get. Better save the money and enjoy the night in the old town or look for a private accommodation, there are plenty. I really regret that I could not cancel my reservation and had to spend a night there.
