I was expecting a hostel for 40€/night for a double room....but I got a suite! Fully equipped kitchen, sofa bed, air conditioner, balcony and flat screen TV! Centrally located, the view of attics was quaint. Petra was very kind to accommodate our late check in we emailed beforehand to notify reception that we're on a late night bus from Zadar - Petra texted and sent her colleague to fetch us from the bus station (which is right opposite the reception!).
all reviews » I spent few nights in Hostel Split and I want to say a big thank you to the staff! People are really friendly, rooms are clean, cozy and the price wasn't very high. Moreover, rooms are equipped with tv set, WiFi, kettle, hairdryer and a fridge. Hostel is located very close to the city centre and it took us a few minutes to go sightseeing and visit all worth visiting places. We can really recommend this place for everyone!. the staff is very friendly and helpful. we did not search for enough information to tour split. have to say the staff in hostel split really saves us from much troubles. we are given a map and details to tour around. the room is very clean and cozy. we reserved a double room but it turned out to be a private apartment very close to the sight-seeing places. totally worth the price!. The place was very close to the bus station which made it easy since this was the first time we went Split. The staff was waiting for us and they treated us perfectly. They gave us info about the better places to go and the things we could do. The room was great as well. Internet and a desktop pc with tv for ourselves was provided. Room was nice, spacious and clean. The staff was friendly, and their computers are available for free. Location is terrific, close to all the transport connections and the Diocletian palace. Good value, a pleasant experience. We were upgraded to an apartment a few blocks away from the hostel; the staff ensured we had a taxi service ( at their expense) for transport... A great service making our Tay an absolute pleasure. We got upgraded to an apartment with a private bathroom just outside the Silver Gate. Perfect location! Comfortable, clean, included wi-fi and a kitchen. Very handy to Diocletian's Palace. Basic apartment but it had all the essentials and was in a very good location just a few minutes away from the palace. Its location is excellent. Near from the bus terminal and ferry terminal. Unclear information about location & facilities, it turned out that what we had booked was actually a little apartment 5 minutes from the check-in place. Not a problem but it was confusing when trying to plan. There appeared to be two air conditioners but neither was hooked up -- since it was 30C, this would have been welcome. 4 flights of stairs to climb in the heat wasn't great, but at least the staircases weren't too narrow. We didn't realise we had to share the balcony. That made it not so relaxing for us. Nothing. A tiny room with a sliding door needed to fit the two beds in. We were after a simple room near the ferry so we weren't expecting luxury but this place is completely overpriced.
