Set in 19th centur warehouse, renovated in February 2016, Design Hostel Goli & Bosi is a modern boutique hostel within a ancient city walls of Split. It is less than 1 km from Bacvice Bay and 5 minutes’ walk to Diocletian Palace. Guests can chose between shared and private rooms. All rooms are air conditioned and contain bathroom with bathroom facilities. The dormitory rooms have beds separated by curtains with individual power sockets. Linens, blankets and towels are provided free of charge, plus personal safety lockers are available to all guests. Free Wi-fi is available and international restaurant, and wake-up call service. Goli & Bosi Design Hostel features a variety of common areas such as lounges and a large terrace. Breakfast is served on the large square in front of the hostel, other meals can also be ordered. There is also a small cinema on site, and a large bar. Design Hostel Goli & Bosi’s multilingual staff offer assistance 24 hours of the day and can arrange for guided tours around Split. I came in October during the off season, was a bit apprehensive due to other reviews - pleasantly surprised though. When I was here this place was cleaner, more comfortable and more spacious than you would expect for the price. Its great value and a great location. Showers were fine- no leakage. Great that it has a lift- no stairs. Plenty of space for my luggage that would max out any ryanair limits- I even tried to imagine it in high season & think as long as u kept your stuff in your bag .
all reviews » Superb hostel - the 8 person dorm looked exactly as the pictures. Very clean and comfortable. Separate toilet, shower and sink to avoid queues for the bathroom among 8 people. The hostel's buffet breakfast is only 37 kunas (5 euros) and is very tasty. Located around the corner from the main high street Marmontova, and close to both the sea and restaurants/bars. Looks like a business hostel! Very clean, safety, perfect instalations, well designed. All access is made by password, private toillet and showers for all rooms.. very nice location, close to bus station, most of touristic atractions, ferry station... It is located in Split old town, really close to Dioclecian Palace. Rooms are very nice and clean and varied breakfast buffet. Really design hostel - morden and stylish. The design. - Staff. if i need to stay one night in Split, i regularly stay at golly&bossy (due my business i travel a lot and i know very well other hotels in area). Due its superb location and friendly stuff i prefer it over "business" hotels (4-5 stars). I am so over boring hotels with same breakfast, same rooms... here is different. and try to ask for top floor rooms (must) with view over Split. The 24-hour check-in was great if you're arriving into Split at an odd hour; the beds in the dorm room offer as much privacy as one can get in a dorm room with curtains, individual lights, electrical sockets and lockers for storage. Great free WiFi. The design of the hotel is nice. There is a bar at the lobby and at the city centre. the special design and style. coole young people from all over the world. The rooms are big and the location is really good. Design Staff. - very good location - not bad restaurant . We stayed in family rooms. Great design but a bit hot in the loft. Staff in reception was very positive and helpful. I gave the girl behind the counter a bottle of red as a thank. Great location. Room was fun. good position. We loved that the double room was clean and quiet for a really good price. The design concept, central location. The description said there was a kitchen- please note there is no kitchen for guests to use just a restaurant downstairs. There is no computer or printer to use. There is no washing machine for you to use. These things are just so you are aware but you are in the center of old town- these facitities will be in the area, just ask the staff. Check out is at 10am, whereas my group were more used to 11am/noon checkouts. Hostel wifi is a bit slow at some areas in the building. I don't know if this is bad, but doesn't look like a hostel... Sometimes I miss the hostel atmosphere!. We had to ask for extra towels, due cleaning service always forgot we were four in the room. lack of space in the room, expensive food and drinks in the restaurant. nothing...it was all fantastic and felt super safe. Nothing really... There is that terrible smell just across the alley leading to the entrance, it was there 2 years ago too. But thats not directly their problem/fault. Breakfast bread was not fresh - though otherwise the breakfast was fine. Shower curtain is missing, cold neon bed lights. It's a party hostel as well as the people who stay there. If you in Split to relax and get a good night sleep, this hostel is not for you. no parking for car, small rooms. All was top. Bathroom in room (noisy), no space for bag storage near beds, no recreation area. The air conditioner wasn't very effective, especially in the loft. The shower in the room I was in had a larger uniform stain on about a third of the room. Top floor beds were a little difficult to get into. Toilets and showers were a little awkward. I liked everything!. - As a hostel for young people, I was expecting more activities to integrate people as I was traveling alone and that was the reason for me to choose staying in a hostel. I stayed at G+B form beginnings (3 years now?) and unfortunately its begin little bit to fall apart. No more draught heineken at the bar, bathroom+wc need "repaint" , broken glass in elevator.. in other words it heavily needs redecoration!. The rooms are small -- even the dorms -- and a bit stale; there didn't seem to be a common area so when I arrived at 1a.m. a group of backpackers were gathered on the floor outside my room and stayed there for HOURS being loud; if you don't know the Old City, it can be hard to find. The water-proofing system of bathroom. Water came out to the bedroom after shower. it would have to be repainted. The device/ the interior was worn and no longer looks beautiful. Poor wifi and I must say I was expecting more from the photos I've seen - seems like they never replaced the stickers or repainted the walls. Looked old which is weird for such a new hostel. Price Internet not working. Staff in restaurant was slow and plates and glasses were dirty. Nice appearance and design at photographs, but very inconvenient structure. I stayed during summer, and the second bed floor was so hot because the air conditioner was at the first floor. Clean but poor breakfast. Breakfast was terrible, staff were very unfriendly, very noisy at night. Very expensive and not adapted price. I did not like the design... Not so charming. Disgusting flavors/smellings at the terrasse for breakfast... Not too good. Stupidly fashion I would write. the waiters are very rude, poor breakfast (only english breakfast), a lots of noises during the night, electronic key doesn't work, the Air-Conditioned is centralize for all the floor. It was a bit hard to find at first. Staff was not welcoming, check in took too long. Room was not cleaned. Most things were not thought through, unpractical. Too noisy to sleep. Interior looked old and damaged.
