We stayed for 3 weeks with a baby. Everything was excellent! There are paths for strollers everywhere, they give kids cot and baby chair in a restaurant. Breakfast is super and lunch - even better (2-3 types of meat, fish, sidings, fruit, dessert, ice-cream). Btw, good discount for lunches for letsbookhotel.com clients. Location is very good if you don't plan to travel much around the country: 15 min from the airport, 15 min to Dubrovnik. The staff is extremely friendly, especcilally to the fam.
all reviews » The location: practically on the beach! Between Dubrovnik (15min drive) and Cavtat (even closer), very nice little port. We had a room with sea view, we could enjoy the sound of the waves in the background... Beautiful! The outdoor pool, very nice! The terrace of the restaurant, perfect for enjoying the sunset while sipping a cocktail... The breakfast (included): after all the 'luxury apartments' we tried in Croatia the previuos days, it was nice to stay in a real hotel with a real breakfast. We stayed in the new bongalows/superior rooms close to the sea. Nice new rooms in quiet surroundings. Friendly and helpful staff at the reception. Minibus shuttle to Cavtat and Dubrovnik. We had only breakfast included. Ok breakfast, but may be the staff should keep a more close eye on the buffet and refill. The new pool area were very nice, and more than enough free sunbeds for all guests. Super area but terrible music all day long! But we will be back in August 2014 . The location of the hotel is great, so are the facilities around it. We stayed in the Annex next to the hotel, which was not as renovated as the main building, but still offered good quality service, a decent room and a fantastic view on the sea. There are a couple of restaurants and bars within the Astarea resort and they offer live music almost every day. It's good value for money and we enjoyed every minute of being there!. The location is brilliant as its a short bus journey either into Dubrovnik or Cavtat. Or if you're just staying in Mlini there are small beaches and a few nice restaurants. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean and adequately equipped. Although the hotel is listed as 3 stars, in my opinion it is closer to 4, escpecially when the outside area has been completed. The staff although serious ( cultural I suspect) were polite and efficient without fussing. The staff who cleaned the rooms were very good and unobtrusive, if they knew you were in your room, they did not not come anywhere near until the room was vacated. Good location to visit Dubrovnik and only 9km to airport Cilipi. The area is beautiful and relaxing and the hotel sits only a few steps away from the sea. Nice pool also and the beach. The Piano Bar with a live music was good too. Great location, very close to the old town of Dubrovnik and Cavtat. Great to walk around to little villages, shops, cafés and restaurants. Super relaxing environment. Very friendly, smiling and helpful staff. Nice pool with warm sea water. Nice scenery, big potential, with few improvements could become much more than 3 stars. Cleanliness and polite service of most of the staff. The new outside pool area will be fantastic when finished in late June/early July. The staff were most helpful. Very quiet, new bathroom,comfortable bed, near to the sea & village of Mlini, good shuttle to Dubrovnik, we stayed here on our honeymoon 30years ago & it survived the troubles. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The shuttle service to Dubrovnik and Cavtat was excellent and the drivers were all lovely and helpful. Location, pool area, view from room. Wi-fi is only in a lobby. Beverages at lunch - for extra money. Everything was great. We had to mention to the hotel that they should clean the pool more often. A lot of sand at the pools bottom. They than cleaned it, but not properly. And they played quite noicy tecno music through the speakers all day long, although most of the guests were seniors . The same melodies again and again and again. Terrible !. It's a pity that there was no internet in the rooms, only in the hotel lobby. The breakfast was rather poor and there was almost nothing left after 9.30. But these are minor disadvantages compared to everything else that the hotel offers!. There was no wifi. The outdoor pool and beach bar were closed as they were being renevated at the time however were made aware of this before we travelled. The outdoor pool was emptied during our first day there which I don't think was good. I think as long as there are guests staying, all facilities should be available. Not enough vegetarian food available, the so -called "veggie" food nearly allways contained fish. The room we stayed was small and no minibar or refrigerator. Maintenance could be better. It was out of the season peak, but breakfast could be far better than what we have seen. The prices at the bar are for the 5 stars hotel, which doesn't fit in the 3 stars hotel. Unfortunately outside pool area still under construction, but should be finished soon. Occasional staff manner and they were in the middle of construction. We knew before we went so that was fine. The new outside pool area will be fantastic when finished in late June/early July. The shower in the room was difficult to regulate. Breakfast, we were told, was until 10:00 a.m. However when we got there at 9:30 a.m. Staff had already started to pick up and we were rushed to eat. Small room. Nothing particular. It should be possible to make a cup of coffe in the hotel room. Small room,no wi-fi in room, old fashioned small tv in room until last day! No fridge, not good breakfast, no English tea-bags or coffee, hated thump thump music round the pool, far too intrusive. The restaurant food was awful. Unfortunately none of the beach restaurants were open so early in the season so there was no alternative except to go back out in the evening. Breakfast, hotel bar, rooms a little dated. - No wi-fi in the room - the pool is in works and when we made the reservation nobody informed us about that - bad breakfast: until 10am was 9h30 and there was a few things to choose.
