The hotel is located in an old house outside but very near the Pile gate (one of two to the Old City). Very convenient! The room is surprisingly large and tidy and has what you expect (including a hair dryer!). There is a nice garden restaurant where you can sip wine and eat to a reasonable cost compared to inside the walls. I can't praise the Sesame Inn highly enough. Spotlessly clean, proprietor & staff friendly & informative, location superb - 5 mins walk to Old Town and 5 mins to a beach with cool clean water to retire to from the heat of the day or evening. Superb food in restaurant; shady cafe during the day.
all reviews » As a group of friends we had booked two rooms which were clean and adequately furnished. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were cleaned every day. My room had its own little garden which was an added bonus for having our breakfast and snacks that we prepared ourselves. It is a perfect location,close to the old city, but on a quiet street with a nice restaurant and cafe, and right next to the Inter-University Center.A very nice staff and owner. Great owner, staff friendly, excellent location- close to the walled city, taxi rank and bus stop. The location, facilities, informal atmosphere, cleanliness and my own little garden!. Lovely setting in a very pretty garden - great restaurant. staff. confortable room. localization. I had the comfort single rooms. The room is suitable for one person and well furnished. The way to the old city is short. Location, artwork in rooms, host, safe environment, book swap, clean. Location, nice owner, clean, good coffee. There was no reception and you had to pass three locked doors (three keys!) to come to the room starting directly from the street. The price is rather high for the standard of the facilities but after all this is Dubrovnik. The towels were not changed every day unless we asked the maid. We would have preferred twin beds to the double for my friends, so it would be useful to have that aspect built into the booking process. Perhaps could include an electric jug for a late night cuppa. My only criticism is that they didn't accept credit cards for the accommodation, although they did in the restaurant. slow bar service and unfriendly waiters. nothing. WiFi worked badly. Bed and breakfast? The simple breakfast cost €4 extra! I should pay €30 for the transfer to the airport. By taxi, it costs €25. With the transfer bus €5. I think you can stay cheaper in Dubrovnik. No breakfast offered. B&B ???. Blanket too thin, old mattress,bathroom down the hall with handheld shower that you cannot hook onto something to wash your hair. Check out at 10:30 too early on a rainy day despite offer by owner of an umbrella and free suitcase storage.
