We stayed in the Studio Apartment - Peline 13 (upstairs). This was an excellent location, about a 30-second walk (uphill) inside the north entrance of the old town. We arrived at night so we couldn't really tell where exactly we were, but the next morning we realized that our bathroom window opens right up to the tourists walking the wall! all reviews » My boyfriend and I stayed at Apartments Lucic for 7 nights in August 2013. The apartment was at a perfect location just next to the Old Town and was a very reasonable price for where it was located. The apartment was well furnished and clean with everything we needed, including a tv, wifi and air conditioning. There was also a great Mexican restaurant, "Chihuahua Cantina Mexicana" right around the corner from the apartment. The owner, Toni, was extremely friendly and helpful and full of informa. My boyfriend and I stayed at Apartments Lucic for a week in August 2013, and couldn't recommend it enough. Toni Lucic and his sister Karen were extremely helpful and easily contactable for the duration of our stay. We couldn't have asked for a better location, two minutes walk from the center of Dubrovnik with a lovely spacious terrace overlooking the old wall which you wouldn't find for anything like this price inside the town walls. The pictures don't do apartment justice as the rooms and ter. Karmen was really friendly and accommodating. We stayed at the Cavtat apartments and they were perfect for us. Just outside the Old Town, a 2-3 minute walk to the Ploce Gate entrance of the town. It was quiet around there so we didn't have to worry about late night noise. Also, the apartment was very large and comfortable with a great balcony. We made good use of the kitchen, and Wifi was surprisingly fast. It was right near the market and also a great bakery nearby. Both were excellent, right in the middle of the walled city, toward the hillside looking out to the water and the view of the rest of the city is amazing! For that reason I strongly recommend the Peline apartments as they have a balcony - the view from which is only bested by standing on top of the city walls. First of all - Toni - the owner - is very kind and hospitable, secondly - the apartment is really beautiful, well equipped and directly in the old city centre (we would not hope for better position). The location of the apartment for us was ideal as its only a short walk to the Old Harbour where we had arranged a few boat trips etc whilst we were there. The bed. twin beds pushed together with a hard bar between. The mattresses were quite uncomfortable. The flat could do with a kettle and coffee maker too. It would be amazing to sit on the patio drinking a nice cup of coffee or tea. If you plan on spending a lot of time down in the old city, its 175 steps down (i counted). Some small things (E.G. shower) should be fixed and renovated. Nothing. Despite a very careful explanation from the landlady we couldn't get the water to heat, and though a cold shower is refreshing when it's 33' outside a warm one would have been nice too in the morning. Lack of clothes storage but everything else made up for it. A little bit noisy but not the owner's fault. A jug for making tea/coffee and a satellite TV. would have been good. the apartments were very close, then we heard everything from the other room. The room is very small and there is no heating in the bathroom. 3 tv channels, none english no kettle ,shower to low. noise. Ground floor, no day light & and bright lights at nights in front of the windows. Would need dark curtains. 80 steps to apartment, which was fine for us but could be difficult for others. Room was also dusty. Studio apartment is extremely small, but that is to be expected in the middle of the old town. Hot water supply. Balcony on a different floor than the rooms, bathroom also separated from the rooms by a staircase used by other tenants. Apt was crowded and small.
