Formerly used as a summer residence by Dubrovnik’s aristocratic family Getaldic-Gundulic, Apartments Batala is located on the Lapad Peninsula just 10 metres from the Adriatic Sea. All rooms are spacious and have air conditioning and a private bathroom. Several bathrooms have a spa bath or washing machine. Some rooms have a balcony or terrace with views of Gruz Bay or the garden. A communal living room and kitchen can be used by all guests and Wi-Fi is available free of charge. Apartments Batala’s restaurant serves regional food which can be enjoyed on the terrace. Built in the 16th century, the property is conveniently located just 10 metres from the nearest restaurant and a 2-minute walk from the closest market. The local bus station is just 50 meters from the house and provides good connections to Dubrovnik’s Old Town 2 km away. A cable car can be used in the Old Town to get up Srdj Hill. Dubrovnik Airport can be reached by car in 30 minutes and airport transfers can be arranged upon request.

My husband and I stayed at Batala apartments for 3 nights and found it to be extremely good value in an otherwise fairly expensive city. Our double room was quite big and had an extra single bed and seating area as well. The bathroom was well appointed and the shower very very good. Air conditioning worked amazing and was welcome relief after the heat of the day. There was a shared kitchen that we used every night and it had everything you needed to make a meal (no oven but we wouldn't have use.

The owner, Ivana, is extremely helpful and professional and friendly. We felt like visiting relatives in Dubrovnik! We followed all her recommendations and they were all priceless.The appartments are furnished with everything you might need on a holiday in Croatia, including a beach umbrella! Everything feels very l. We booked the big apartment, for 6 persons. Very clean, newly renovated, spacious. Two of the three bedrooms have windows on the street side, but the windows are well isolated. If you're used to the city that should not be a problem. Nice coffee sets, some must have been pretty expensive. Proprietor very nice, we could enter the apartment a bit before the official arriving hours and could stay a bit after the leaving hours until the taxi took us to the airport, which can be very useful if you h. We totally recommend it! This hotel is really nice and has this special atmosphere that fits in Dubrovnik: warm, cozy and beautiful. It is conveniently located near the bus station that takes you directly to Old Town but we also walked (slow walk around 20-30min) which was nice. Ewerything - place, rooms, kitchen. Nothing. Some more bowls for breakfast and cooking instruments (spatulas for frying pans, etc) could be useful. But these are our french origins speaking... None. The apartment was located on the second floor which made hauling luggage a bit of a challenge. We were the only people staying on the first night. On the second night late arrivals managed to wake us up as the noise travels easily through this old historic building. pillows were not comfortable. Was only informed after booking that parking is only available on the street - should be included in marketing documents i.e. on street parking. nothing.
