A buffet breakfast is served daily at Chiquita Lodge, featuring organic breads and exotic fruits and the Salsa Brava Restaurant serves traditional Caribbean cuisine. The lodge offers a cookery school and organizes excursions, such as cocoa trails and visits to the Cocoa Museum in San Jose. The hotel is located 5 km south of Puerto Viejo. It is 4.5 hours' drive from Juan Santamaria International Airport.

What people say

People working there and owner(s) were very nice, and the 3min walk to the beach was lovely. A very quiet, beautiful beach. Location is good to other restaurants... That's the only positive thing I have to say. The mattress and pillow didn't smell very nice, I think it was time for replacement. I slept with a towel covering my pillow (which actually smelled very nice). Also I would have liked it if they had bicycles to use or rent since a taxi drive to Puerto Viejo is quite expensive and the bicycle ride is less than 30min with nice sightseeing.
