We stayed for a week and we loved chilling out every single day around PV. Hotel Indalo is very near downtown. It has spacious, modern and clean rooms. The staff are warm and friendly. The vibe of the place is very laid back. It is very accessible to many places in Puerto Viejo but secluded from the noise. There are also nice restaurants/sodas nearby. Carlo and Cristina are very friendly and helpful and have put a lot of effort in to the place. Rooms are very large and I liked the open-plan layout. Clever minimalist touches. Being close to the jungle means you get all the genuine noises from the wildlife.

Hot water In a secure area Near restaurants and bars. Amazing hosts, good large size clean rooms. the staff were awesome. It gets too hot sometimes depending on the weather and the fan isn't enough to cool it down. A/C rooms are not common in PV though. Some people will like the location, others will not. Being away from the main street means it is quiet, but some people may not feel safe wandering down the back roads to get near to the jungle. The rooms get very hot. The only way for air to get in is through the door, and the wall-mounted fans do not provide enough air movement. Sink was stopped up Fan didn't reach to farthest bed, but was felt fine on main bed. No A/C. To little fresh air in the room which get too hot. It would be better if there were insects screens on the windows/doors. That we had to leave. Horrid heat with no a/c. Further removed from other hotels. Bed and sheets low quality. No A/c. Breakfast not included, although available as an add on. Not enough space to hang clothes. When it's raining it is very loud!. Some screens on the windows and or door would be handy. nothing.
