If you are in Yangshuo and you like cheese, vegetable, fruit and wine, then you must try the Panoramic restaurant (top floor of the hotel) 1) Go early. They do not take reservations. 2) Go with at least 2 people, so that you can sample more things, as they have so many things to choose from. 3) Bring your appetite for adventure - sure you will find 'safe' things on the menu in the chicken, beef, salad options, but there's a lot more too - consider one of their tasty 'Orange duck' or 'beer fish'.
all reviews » This is a really nice small boutique hotel with a great location by the Yulong river, probably the best location in town for viewing the scenery. It is away from the noisy Bar Street but a 5-min cabride can easily take us there. The design very tasteful, carefully renovated from an old Chinese-style building, rooms spacious and comfortable, bath water pressure great. We particularly loved the food there. For breakfast we can choose between Western style of Chinese style food, and the coffee is . This is a small boutique style hotel which is 5min. away from the Yangshuo downtown, so there are no cheap tourist groups or noisy backpackers. The location is just the best. The beds are soft and the hot shower are comfortable. One interesting thing which boosted our experience - they can help launder all your clothes (yes, all you need to wash during your stay) at an extremely reasonable price, which we found good value for money. Yes this is not the sort of 5-star luxury hotel but i believe the service quality is among the best. The experience begins with the airport pickup service (trained English speaking driver, clean car, and free bottled water) and continues throughout the stay. The reception girl was quite knowledgeable and helped us cover most major tourism attractions efficiently given we only had limited time in Yangshuo. Wonderful location with beautiful view. Just go there and you will find out why. I can actually sit there for hours in the Panoramic Restaurant watching the misty hills and quiet rivers. Staff very professional and can speak good English. One fantastic service they provided was the all-you-need-to- wash service at a negligible charge. With this I really felt like home and being nicely treated. Food is the No.1 thing we care when we travel, and i have to admit Camellia Resort met all our expectations. We had 2 dinners, 1 breakfast, and 1 afternoon tea there. The ingredients are fresh and the cook is great (with both Western and Chinese cousine)! Top recommend: beer-brewed fish, fried organic vegetable, Signature Pasta. Our stay was just perfect, because it provided us with the 3 things we care most - food, coffee, and location. It is 10-min taxi ride from the town center, so the location is convenient and also quiet at the same time. Coffee is fresh from the Delongi coffee machine - the iced latte is just great!. Nice hotel with friendly staff. The rooms and the communal area are all comfortable. They organized a great excursion for us at a reasonable price including bamboo rafting and roast fish feast on a floating restaurant on the river - what an unforgettable experience and we will definitely come back!. Although it is not in the center of Yangshuo, it is actually quite accessible. Its location and view is probably among the best. The room was spotless, bed soft, shower pressure good ... They also provided best coffee we had in China (freshly ground from superior coffee beans). The scene and surrounding of the hotel is relaxing and serene which i always like. This time i stayed facing towards the backyard which was awesome quiet. I slept through the night like a baby. Emmy was still very helpful and caring as always. Thanks for all the assistance. The hotel is not big, but has a nice courtyard, common area and a extremely beautiful roof restaurant where you can watch the panorama of green hills surroundingly. The food, the housekeeping, the laundry, and the tour arrangement are all satisfactory. Great airport pickup service and efficient tour arrangement so that we can maximize our Yangshuo experience. One piece of advice: ignore the taxi drivers hawking outside the airport as they are not very reliable, unless you have booked one in advance. What a nice and relaxing stay and we felt so sad when we had to leave for our next destination. We miss all the nice little things (e.g., car service, laundry, food, checkout gift, and the staff's smily faces) and will for sure come back. We were very much satisfied because: 1. best location to appreciate the beauty of the landscape; 2. high quality food; 3. Amazing mountain view,GREAT!. mountain view is very beautiful, nice design of chinese house, chopsticks souvenirs from the hotel, the staff call carlson was very friendly and nice person to talk to...and very amaze with her love to her yangshuo village :). The staff was friendly. Rainy days - bad for outdoors activities. On the first night there were some guests playing billiard very late (probrably 9pm) and were noisy to us. None. Strongly recommend this place!. No free shuttle bus( but the pick-up service is good value for money:). West street too noisy. Some of the lighting fixtures need to be change :) Especially in the rooms one!!. Not at this moment!!. Not at the town center. A cab ride would be required to get to and back from the bars. Not for the time being. location is far from the city centre. Paid extra for a room with view of the river, but I could hardly see the river. Lot's of noice from the road (buildingswork nearby). The restaurant was closed sutardaynight. The room was not clean.
