I loved the size of the room. 52sq. Meters. The bed was huge, which was great for us as the whole family fitted in. Sherpa's deliver there. A big plus for us as we can't go out with the children to eat in the evening. Their own restaurant was being renovated so breakfast was served in the adjoining cafe. We were pleasantly surprised with breakfast. We had coffee, scramble egg and french toast each morning. I recommend the french toast. The staff spoke great English and were always polite and .

The location can't be any better - everything walking distance or short inexpensive taxi ride. Lot's of old Shanghai nearby to explore by walking. I will be back !!. I love the rooms, big bathtub is great, large vanity, good bath lighting. Beds are very comfortable, which is rare at this price point in Shanghai. The location is very good and the service is very good. I have stayed here several times and will continue to come back. The room was amazing. Lovely bathroom, comfy bed, really big with a seperate lounge type area. Breakfast was good. The location was really good. Near to a metro station and just down the road there are some really nice restaurants and bars. My husband did not like that there was no door on the bathroom. It was a little further from the metro than I expected. Check out was a big hassle, I had a trainee who didn't know how to do it. Had to leave my things at hotel and return later to finalize to attend a lunch meeting. But the normal desk staff are outstanding, very professional. The trainee thing was a fluke. Also, there is construction going on downstairs that woke me up early every morning with drilling. Hated that. the plumbing was horrific. We got woken up by the sound of the pipes because it was so loud. there isnt a pool or anything. The room is very luxurious but the service is not that of a 4-5 star hotel so dont expect someone to carry your bag upto your room for you! However despite these comments we really enjoyed it and i would definitely stay there again. rooms on the 2f are really cold, and the central heating doesn't seem work well. It is strange that the toilet doesn't have any door. For couples maybe not so romantic. Shower was a bit dirty and breakfast wasn't as good as it could have been. The breakfast was not bad, but could be improved. As a boutique hotel, it lacks common areas for guests (i.e. a real lobby with bar facilities, etc). Toilet noisy when flushed. The breakfast was not great as they were renovating the restaurant. I had hoped to find a kitchinette of some sort. Nothing. Breakfast variety can be improved. - a bit old. Wc open: you could not receive guests finishing of the rooms not professional. Furnitures. some staff with poor service english level of staff-- some ok, some very poor.
