The staff, in particular the duty manager, Mr Bob Wang were exceptional. His English was fantastic and he went zbove and beyond by retrieving and hand delivered to our room, my sons ipad that he had left on the plane. The pools at the resort were enormous and beautifully maintained. The western style restaurant had a great choice and was so good that we ate all of our meals there for the four days. We will definitely return to the Howard Johnson.
all reviews » We loved the pool areas. The hotel trainee staff from Nepal were exceptional, they were always friendly and willing to help us! Without them we wouldn't have enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Unfortunately they leave in November. The wonderful pool, superb landscaping and our two bedroom suite were amazing! Some rooms have very limited compfort connected with a road reconstruction (noise, dust, 24 h) and we had offered one of these rooms. The hotel is very good for relaxation. Breakfast is good for our taste There is 3 different restaurant for dinner and lunch and all are good - have different choices. Hotel is very near to airport. The food in the restaurant was pricey and of poor quality. For a supposed five star hotel the staff should be at least be able to smile at their guests and treated well. Service was uneven in the restaurants. It may just be China. They don't ever bring all the food for the table at the same time. My husband was waiting a full half hour for his food after we were done eating. Staff with very poor English, if any. Quite an adventure to ask for info or get anything. We booked a room with garden view and got one with construction site view. Once we managed to get ourselves understood we got a different room. The beach is not quite private and you have various merchants approaching you every 5 mins, or even sleeping on the hotels sun beds all around - not quite a 5 stars experience. Nothing that i can think of. far from city and hasn't taxi there. Not enough food courts. Not enough to do in such a large hotel. Limited facilities. dirty outside pools. there was no info about this kind of works so one can not predict situatiation of spending several holidays days without possibility of openig window or use balcony. no see view in the room. The shower glass is has blank between the wall and when we take a shower the bathroom floor become wet. No one speaks english in hotel! Extreamly difficould to deal whit reception excample , almoast inbossile. Feeling is that staff dosent ewen want you to be there. I have had same kind of service in Soviet Union 1980. The staff and service - No english speaking staff. Staff need to be trained. Food quality very poor. The hotel was not 5 stars hotel as mentioned on your website. Big problem to communicate because just one or twoo people speak english ! impossible to as room service during night and we wait 1 hour for club sandwisch at swimming pool I never go back in this hotel.
