nice and cosy room (earthly wood design just like resort style) with separate seating area, chinese tea set and 3 types of chinese local (good quality) tea leaves provided with natural water from famous spring (tea leaves and spring water free of charge), free welcome cocktail at bar, free hand treatment, good accessibility as there's a bus stop just right outside the hotel, cosy library with free coffee and cookies, overall a very relaxing stay in this cosy boutique hotel, will definitely stay.
all reviews » The rooms are spacious, very clean and extremely well finished and decorated. This extended into every detail through the whole hotel, from lobby to hallways and rooms to a level you don't see very often in China, specially not in this price class. Bed was of superb quality. Break fast was nice with a good choice between Chinese and Western food. Also the food from room service was affordable and very tasty. Best thing was the spa, never had such a good massage anywhere in China. Very helpful staff. English is not always perfect, but where is it in China? They really went above and beyond for us. I left my iPhone in a taxi right before we checked in and they helped me locate it and then even went to pick it up (30 minutes in a cab each way) because they knew without being able to speak Chinese it would be impossible for me to do myself. Room service food was solid. Location was walkable to West Lake if you like to travel on foot. Impressive interior (design and functionality wise), local quality tea selection and natural water from a local spring (both free of charge), 20 min hand massage and one cocktail as a welcome gift, bus stop to Lingyin-Tempel right in front of the door, west lake within walking distance, very friendly and helpful staff. Nice rooms, friendly stuff. There are many things which makes you feel comfortable while you stay in this hotel - it's spa, little library with free coffee, tea set with the water from the local spring in the room. There is a big park nearby the hotel which is ideal for walking. Although the lobby is quite small, the rooms are really good and quite big. I like the design of the hotel, and its quite budget friendly for my taste. I also tried the Spa. It was good it was open so late...till 23h. It was a good treatment. EU quality. I love the style and atmosphere in this hotel. It is the third time I have stayed in different circumstances and it is to me hassle free from start to finish and the beds are one of the most comfortable I have slept in!. The hotel is small, quiet and very modern. Staff are great and the in-house restaurant Tianlun food is good. We had the suite and it's 2 well appointed bedrooms with attached bath plus a separate living room. Hotel is small and cozy. Rooms are big. Most comfortable bed I have ever slept on, more comfortable than most of the 5-star hotels. If you're looking for comfort and relaxation, this is the hotel to be in. Very nice and comfort environment I was impressed the staff could recognize us even we have been there only one time. very convenient location, nearby Walmart and many eating places. the feel of the hotel was peacefull amongst the busy of Hangzhou city. Truely a place of rest. the best looking and tasting breakfast ever! An affordable mini bar!!. Spacious room, tea themed with tea set & tea in room and tea trees on balcony. Yanggongdi and Hubin Lu both easy to reach. The bedroom and facilities were excellent. The room was very clean. I enjoyed my free cocktail and free hand massage. Warm "wooden" design elements, harmonizing with the green city of Hangzhou. Hotel is located across the street from a large public park. Several small restaurants and bars are within walking distance. Bikes are offered for rent to ride to the West Lake (but hourly rate is rather high). The comfort of the hotel was very good, having a full apartment for the all family. Spacious, relaxing atmosphere, very nice people at the restaurant for the dinner taking care of the customers despite the language barrier. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice, simple, tasteful design! Nice round tub! Food was very good (restaurant overbooked so can only do room service). The earthly colours and spacious room was a plus. Location just opposite the Golden Dragon Cave. Nice design. i like the spa of the hotel. but other things, i hate. rain shower only at standing shower and the drainage system is poor as it flood and choke the shower area. In the end has to use the shower over the bathtub and there's no shower curtain, so water spill out despite less big movement when showering. Although the staff is very service oriented and polite the level of their English was not sufficient to enable them to help you as much as you clearly see they would want to. For questions concerning the hotel and service there itself it was ok, but if you need more information about guides, and getting around it got difficult. That I did not plan to stay longer ... Location is a bit uncomfortable, it's quite far from everything, there are no restaurants of shops nearby. No negatives on the hotel, just annoys me about the 15% service charge. They do nothing other than what they are supposed to do so just tell me what the price is rather than hiding behind this stupid surcharge. It's not a big hotel chain so not all the taxi driver knows the location. Not a 5 star hotel as mentioned on letsbookhotel.com. No breakfast and the free coffee tasted bad. Old Chinese decoration. That there was not a sandwich on the room service menu. No breakfast buffet. I found the breakfasts rather weird. I would have preferred a choice of bacon and eggs. Difficult to describe the exact location to the taxi drivers, who often stopped by the sport school next door. Hard to find. None. Lobby smell. nothing. No view. Rear side rooms face factory building, front side rooms face busy street. Bathroom with mildew on silicone joints. Overall, the hotel is not as fancy as the images suggest. Do not expect to be in an international hotel, which was fine for us. The English speaking is limited but for us was enough to enjoy our stay. Choose a room at the opposite side of the road, as it is noisy all night. Not informed Spa and bar were both closed during Chinese New Year until we checked in. Also not told breakfast stopped at 9:30am, even on the weekends. Not offered the hand massage. Water pressure low and water not very hot. Bed is not soft enough. I believe we would have had much better experience if all facilities were open. Breakfast ends at 9.30am and dinner ends at 9pm - so there is very limited food service after these times. And there is not much else to eat near to the hotel. No gym. Room facilities good, hotel facilities fair. Restaurant below average, restaurant staff (evening) very unpleasant. Hotel staff friendly, but English language skills very limited. 1) the room is not clean - the tea table was sticky with leftover sugarly surface. very disgusting 2) lack basic amenities - water, instant coffee or other, do not supply 3) the room corridor between the lift landing and my room, was a disasterly depressing. i am surprised this hotel had such good review before on the design.
