Guilin Liangjiang International Airport is 30 km away. Four Lake with Pagoda in Guilin, Seven Star Park and Zhengyang Pedestrian Street is 5 minutes' stroll away. Elephant Trunk Hill is a 20-minute walk away. Air-conditioned rooms at Ming Palace come with wooden furnishings and large windows that offer plenty of natural light. I arrived late at night and the staff were very friendly and spoke good English. They gave me great tips and organised good activities for me, when I left I forgot to settle a food bill. Roy and Angel instead of asking me to come all the way back managed to let me pay at my next destination and they would charge that hotel. They really were lovely people and the hostel is the best value for money deal I have had in China.
all reviews » I only have good things to say about this place. The rooms are nice, the beds confortable, the staff is very helpful and friendly, the restaurant is convenient and the location is perfect. They even offer a cup of tea at the bar with a coupon, its a much better idea to taste a cup of local tea rather than some beer usually offered at many backpackers hostels. Enjoyed a lot the staff, all of them very friendly and enjoyed the location also and the comfort of the lounge area. Had twice dinner with the staff, and the food is very good, it was a pleasure to have shared my days with them, and i definitely recommend the hostal. Stayed in a private room and enjoyed it a lot. Great staff. I highly recommend this hostel! They help make my month- long China trip worth it. The girls that work here were very accommodating and provided tips on where to go, what to eat, and (importantly for me) how to say phrases in Chinese :p. The hostel is almost right in the city center, a good place to start your journey. Everything is very clean!. The bar downstairs, nice to meet new people and hang out. Friendly staff. Price Location Value for money. Nothing. all good. Front desk not very well organized. Restaurant closing too early. Laundry was broken at the time I was there, but should be fixed up by now. There is a laundry place across the road if needed, but is quite expensive. 6 floors in total, but no lift, which can be hard with heavy luggage at the top. If you have to much luggage you need to know there is not an elevator, so you will have to use the upstairs. Price for breakfast. a little bit far away from the downtown. Stairs. You can't eat something in the bar all day and the bikes that you can rent are very crappy. Far away from the bus and train station. Because there is no elevator, make sure they give you a room key that works, i did 5 floors up and down 3 times... Stairs to 5th floor.
