even if the hotel building and surroundings don't look glamorous don't get upset. from inside its a surprising spot of peace in the middle of the restless city. try to get a room with a garden terrace it is worth it. rooms are clean, beds soft,breakfast rich, location convenient if you dare to use subway, which is very convenient since the red metro stop is just few steps from the hotel and brings you directly to forbidden city and tianmen square. if you are in beijing for shopping - hotel is .

Friendly staff and can arrange for taxi by giving 15 minutes notice. Hotel overall ambience is quite pleasant and situated right on cbd ideal for business purpose. This hotel may look old and shabby outside but surprisingly nice and well maintained inside. The room was spacious and clean. There was a Starbucks few steps(literally) away from the hotel, so I could have a quick morning coffe and go sightseeing. The location was easily accessible to every hot place in Beijing via subway line no.2. The best hotel for a soft landing in China for a non-Chinese-speaking business-people. A bit noisy, rooms are quite close, so one can hear the sound of shutting doors next room. House keeping should be improved. Front room stuff must learn English please. Only one or two workers at the reception speak english (so if they are not there, you cannot understand anything); the clean is not good; there is a lot of static electricity so you have problems even when you open the door, touch the elevator...it is disgusting. Journey time from Airport is high. the dining options. The first night I was upgraded to a new suite in building B. I didn't like it all because of the strong smell in the room. I couldn't even fall into sleep. The second night they moved me to a double room in the old building after I strongly insisted. My advice is to stay away from the new building which has just finished renovation. Awful smell. Staff doesn't speak english enough. Internet signal is very weak Breakfast cost is very high.
