  Upon arriving at Hotel Rio Amazonas, it was as if we had come upon a castle in the middle of a bustling city! It has the look of one with the turret and the exterior wonderfully created. Location is excellent - my main reason for the original choice of staying there, which I did on four separate occasions, using Santiago as a hub for travel to all points of the compass.   My assigned room which I never saw didn't have a working bathroom. Thus, they gave me their nicest, biggest room right in the corner. It is next to the reception. It was clean, nice, it had a heather, warm-water, great wi-fi. They also have a safe luggage storage, unlike other hostels where everyone can go in. - In a beautiful paved street right... what people say » in the centre of Santiago and close to several metro stops, this Hostal is set in a lovely old house. It is clean, has helpful and pleasant staff and is full of charm. I loved my very short stay here and would go again.
