Location is wonderful. Staff from reception to maids and restaurant staff are great and attentive. It is pricey but everything in San Pedro is expensive. Will stay there again. -

The rooms were quite big and because they are built of adobe, they stay quite warm at night, even without a heater. The staff were very friendly (the owner was away at the time) and offered extra blankets, filled up the hot water bottle we had with us, and had a great breakfast ready for us each morning. Jose Miguel, the owner, is on site and always available to help with tours, restaurant recommendations and anything that needs dealing with in the rooms. The bed is comfortable and the room and private bathroom clean. The hostal is in a quiet street on the edge of the town centre but the main centre is a maximum 5 minutes walk away so the convenience is great without late night noise. We had a great stay and Jose Miguel was a great host.

Although my room was small the bed was very comfortable with good clean bedding.
The adjacent bathroom was clean and roomy.
The hostel is furnished with old furniture, lending it a comfy feel, with sofas and Internet access in the lounge area. Wifi also worked in my room.

which was very convenient. Felipe (the manager) was helpful with

The location was great if you are looking for privacy and relaxation. Great views of the moon valley. Rooms are basic but very clean and keep a good temperature. Very nice seating area, under the trees, where you also get your breakfast. Very nice and warm owners! We enjoyed our stay a lot!!! -

We enjoyed the people who run this hostal, they were friendly and accommodating to our needs. We actually only used the facilities of the hostal and stayed in a separate place owned by the owner. It was fully self contained and serviced daily. Very comfortable and safe. We loved our stay in San Pedro -

Ruka Zen has a great atmosphere. It is located in a quiet and beautiful spot in San Pedro. The best of the hotel are its staff and owners who are really considerate and helpful. We loved our stay at Ruka Zen!
