Amazing hotel! Stayed in 4 other hotels in Puerto Varas before. Bellavista is by far the best quality. Location is very good: view over the lake with the volcano in all rooms. Breakfast was phenomenal: Raspberry cake, lemon pie and home made brownies, lots of juices, eggs and sausages and a lot of fruit.. and Ulmo Honey! Staff was very helpful and efficient; especially during check/in -out and when I needed to print, scan and email a document! Very helpful and friendly.. without the "suck-up" .
all reviews » Volcano view: not one but three volcanoes at the same time from the window, across the lake Location: picturistic lakeside resort town, easy for day trips to volcanoes and national parks and to Chiloe to see penguines natural habitat. The room was clean and spacious, however, the view was SPECTACULAR! WOW is the first thing that I said when we arrived at our room. The breakfast buffet was good. The front desk clerks were courteous and spoke English!. Excellent location, walking distance to city center and restaurants, with wonderful view on the lake and vulcanos. Room very clean and spacious. Breakfast also with good variety and quality. Sauna for private use. Fabulous location overlooking the lake and volcano. Very comfortable room. Good breakfast. The shower was good (warm and good pressure) but the direction of the spray was too "outwards". Change Shower heads! The only dirty spot I found was in the roof of the elevator. Absolutely nothing to dislike. Nothing. The room was clearly not used for quite some time because the shelves and bathroom facilities were covered in dust. The room also smelled of cigarettes and the furniture has obviously passed its time of glory... but who cared? With that view?!. Nothing. Spotty wifi in my room at times, but not a major problem. no complaints. The staff was hit or miss. The hotel advertises that they will book tours for you to surrounding sites. One staff member did just that for me. The next day I was told I had to walk over to the tour company and book it myself - and then the clerk just walked away and left me standing there. Consistency - not. Nothing worth mentioning. No English tv,eg.m cnn, bbc. Our bathroom needed some updating; problem with toilet bowl, shower head leaking. Don´t have intimate shower in the bathroom. Nothing. A little pricy. Road Noise. The receptionists need a professional training. Bedrooms need air condition for hot days. My bedroom had two artificial plants full of dust! Also, in the floor, at the back of sofas. Poor cleaning.
