The size of the room and the facilities. The coffee maker. The bathroom accessories. The breakfast was great, and we loved the waffle maker. Good choice of breakfast food and drink available to meet customer needs. The onsite pub offers good value for money. Check-in and checking out was very efficient. The staff are awesome. So helpful with places to visit and things to do. The two gentleman, and the young lady with blond hair tied back are a credit to the hotel. We stayed at the star.
all reviews » Excellent staff... Everyone was professional and friendly. We came over from Seattle. I had booked the stay online at letsbookhotel.com...we had a dog with us, and I had listed pet friendly as a requirement. Somehow letsbookhotel.com hadn't informed the hotel. Your staff was able to book us a pet friendly room and rectify the problem. I really appreciated that. Staff was very accomodating. We were travelling with a 2mth old, and required a microwave, and fridge in the room. It was no problem for them to bring in the microwave for us. The continental breakfast was great. I would definately stay again. Very convenient location. Thank you. Staff was friendly and efficient, the rooms spacious, clean and comfortable. I liked having a choice of pillows available. Bed really comfortable. The hot breakfast was good and overall the hotel was excellent value for the money. Great location. The staff was very friendly and rooms very pretty good. Annex room was great value for money, safety, location re: hospital and shopping, included breakfast, underground parking, quiet at night, wifi works very well, complimentary newspaper each day. The breakfast was fantastic, not just juice and toast. Home made waffles, fresh breads and very well taken care of. They even took an additional 10% off the room price with ferry ticket stub. Quiet room, breakfast included. Front desk staff friendly. No charge for parking. Easy to find. Nice entrance / foyer, felt more upmarket than other hotels we had stayed in for similar money. The Staff were fantastic...from the Front Desk to Housekeeping. The room was spotless and well looked after. I will stay there again as this visit prompted me to join the points program. The location is easy to access and central to many destinations in the city. the attached pub "Redd's" had good food and the bartender Paul was friendly, professional and accommodating. all the staff at front desk were great also. 2 blocks to transportation, minutes from attractions with out being right downtown. Everything else was wonderful. The beds are too small for a couple. We stayed in room 156 in the annex building. There was a sign requesting people not to back in. I didn't mind that part. I did mind that twice when backing out in front of our hotel room, someone was turning into the parking lot and I didn't see them very well. Maybe that's just me. No complaints at all, front of hotel was a bit of a renovation/construction site, and lobby entrance was a bit confusing to locate. Better temporary signs would have been helpful. Really minor inconvenience. A couple more towels would have been helpful in the room. Liked Everything. The room appeared very clean. But when taking a shower the next morning there was a large black hair in the tub and also one on the shower curtain. Other than that, it appeared clean. Had difficulty finding the lobby when driving in as there was some construction in front of the door but no sign to say where to enter. Tv needs upgrading - no flat screen, cable package is sparse,. The way the airconditioning turned on and off. The selection of fresh fruit for the breakfast buffet was somewhat limited. the air conditioner was noisy and the wifi connection wasn't that great. I found a bug in the bathroom, but otherwise very clean .No microwave like in ad. Not a lot of choices for places to eat nearby except for a Denny's. Someone set the alarm clock in the next room to 5:00am. The alarm rang for 40 min or so before we had to call someone to shut it off. Nothing in particular to dislike. They need to change some of the bathroom fans that are so very noisy from other rooms when I am trying to sleep. when I entered the room there was a disinfective smell that was not pleasant, not a big deal. Not able to locate black out curtains due to over-tiredness on first night. Nothing; I had no problems or issues with the Hotel or with the staff. The use of disposable plates and cutlery for breakfast is utterly shocking and not at all in line with the rest of the service. It is not only awful to eat and drink from cardboard plates and cups, but it is not environmental friendly at all! This seems to be a policy of the entire Comfort chain, and for me that is a reason not to book there any longer if they are not changing this in the near future. Water-saving shower heads should also be installed as soon as possible. carpet stains in hallway dirty dishes in hallway for 24 hours. No pool- and sauna/fitness center was closed for renos (I think). The hotel is a bit far from downtown, about 30 minutes walking. I thought it was closer to the downtown area. Not within easy walking distance. I understand that the hotel is being renovated and I would like to ensure that they put light-blocking curtains in the windows. The shears that are there presently let in the light from the surrounding buildings and the street lamps. Because my wife is in a wheelchair and we didn't ask for an accessible room we would like to see a grab bar on the wall in front of the toilet, even if the room isn't for disabilities; but otherwise everything else was perfect. Front entrance construction made getting in and out a little more complex for my wife, who has mobility issues. Stuffy rooms. Missed breakfast as we had a brunch appointment with Victoria friends. Spider an web in the corner of the room. A little far from the city center. AC was a bit too loud; I could hear the low frequency hum from the neighboring suites. The window shades didn't close, so some light leaked from the street into the room at night. The distance from the harbour. Nothing.
