We stayed in a 1-bedroom suite with fridge, microwave, coffee maker and water kettle in the kitchenette, just perfect for traveling with children. Lovely view out to The Empress Hotel, downtown and some water views. Staff was gracious and helpful. The pool area was also nice. Wish we had had more time to swim, but water is deep (5-9 ft). All in all a wonderful stay! Will definitely keep in mind for next visit.
all reviews » Great location within easy walking distance of the coach station if you are arriving by public transport and close to the inner harbour attractions. Very helpful and friendly staff, lovely rooms. Enjoyed the view from the restaurant while we had breakfast. Everything about this hotel was excellent. Beds & pillows were amazing & the rooms were exceptionally quiet. Staff were very helpful & pleasant from front reception, resturant & room service. Highly recommended. Everyone is friendly, I always stay there when I bring people from out of town.This time around we were upgraded to a suite which was I surprise, a good surprise :) I live out of town and love the location. Courtesy of staff, perfect location within stroll of wharf and Empress Hotel. Close to transport. Wonderful shuttle service. Beautiful rooms and luxurious Lobby. Everything was first class. Location was great - just down the road from the Bus Depot, Victoria Harbour and Information Centre. Lovely foyer and the room was very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was great. We had booked a room with a king bed and received an upgrade to a junior suite. Very nice. We travelled with another couple and will do so again to your hotel. Parking was great, location for walking to Museum, Parliament, and other wonderful sights was so convenient. The hotel was beautiful! Would definitely stay there again!. Location is excellent, parking is great. Beds were very comfortable and the pool is nice. Isn't overly expensive even though its right downtown and has beautiful views. - Staff was very friendly. - Vista18 was a great place for breakfast. I was concerned when I realized our room was across from the elevator, but the room was very, very quiet. We couldn't pick up messages from the cordless phone, had to use speakerphone, but otherwise stay was great. Wait for lifts always seemed long, but to be fair, one was out of service while we were staying. No complaints. The bed was too high! I am a short person and had to actually jump onto the bed each night - not a massive issue but still had to mention it :). Nothing, staff, room, restaurant was great with a terrific view. I can't think of anything negative at all. Rate seemed a bit high for me, but compared to other hotels online, Chateau was one of the best values. The hide-a-beds are not build for 6' 250 lb men. parking fee. the parking was a bit tight. Nothing really. Hot tub was too small. No free breakfast like the best western for a family on a budget. Nothing!. The pllows; great to look at on the bed horrible to sleep on- we had sore necks all weekend. The bathroom was a little dated but it was not a problem at all as it was clean and everything we needed was provided for. Everything was good!. our room location :( overlooking the vent and the parking lot was not pleasant We could also hear the whirring noises of the laundry nearby. Nothing. Pillows, too hard and big, couldn't sleep with them. All good. Although the view from the 18th floor restaurant was magnificent, the food was not on par with the beauty. The beds suck! Please upgrade to high quality queen beds, it would really make a world of difference! Also, a coffee urn in the lobby just for the morning would be a nice touch. extra parking fee fitness room is very small and focused on equipment. Floor exercises on a mat is limited to a 5foot area crammed between 2 doors. Needless to say I couldn't do my daily yoga routine. nothing. Hallways need an update as well as elevators. Layout of our room. The pillows were too bulky. When selecting a TV-movie, we were not informed of the price before hitting the order button. bathroom is too small to close the door hot water was not so hot. Stuffy room need to open window or air conditioning. Also I would asked an adult floor instead of family. noisy when small children run up and down hallway. confort of the beds. Shower faucet malfunction, shower faucet came off, change of water temperature during use ( very hot to very cold), and also we encountered toilet flushing problems. We had an emergency and had to go to the hospital at 6am.....explained this to the front desk as we were leaving for the hospital......we got back around 11am.....we were exhausted and stated we could not be ready to check out on time......I asked if we could have a late check out ......they said yes but then turned around and charged us an additional $45 when we left at 3.....not very understanding or compassionate over our crisis. Being stuck beside the laundry room.
