  I visited during the shoulder season, that is after Labor Day, so there only a few other travelers. That said, ample social space, an available in-house laptop with wifi for use if you need it. It's strongly geared toward self-catering, so don't expect to get a breakfast (except there is coffee and tea, and some stuff for cheap purchase). The location was perfect. right at the start of the skerwink trail, which is an awesome hike! and really, we saw moose right down the street, so how can I complain!

  The location was wonderful and very scenic. The lodge was relatively new, very clean, and had everything we needed for our stay. We would recommend this place as a home base to anyone who is travelling through Trinity or Bonavista area. Darlene, our host, made our stay special as well with her hospitality, cooking and yarns.   Our room was very comfortable , the bed one of the best we had used in our 3 weeks in Newfoundland The breakfast was very good and our landlady very friendly and informative . We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - We appreciated the atmosphere, many antiques, adjacent gift shop, and an excellent dining room. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
