They allowed our small dog which is appreciated and they did not give us a gross room. Also there is a really great pub/restaurant conveniently on site called the brew table. Location was extremely convenient to get to Scitiabank place. Most staff were quite prepared to go out of their way to help. One on the morning was less so but by and large they were very good. Elevators, no noise, restaurant on premises, parking lot was cleared of snow very early in the morning.

Having a fridge in the room. Free continental breakfast was not very good. Internet access was too unreliable. It kept kicking in and out both by requiring ongoing sign ins and by losing and reestablishing the signal. Room charge for the dogs...having a hold put on funds for incidentals... Travel extensively and have never paid pet fee or had a hold placed when paying for room upon check in. Side door entrances lock from the inside with no card reader to enter. This means that it becomes necessary to go through the lobby to get back to your room. Side entrances are closer to the back parking lot.... duvet was too heavy and lightweight sheet was the only alternative lack of counterspace in the bathroom. The heater/air conditioner very hard to adjust to obtain the desired temperature. breakfast was very little choice. The hotel was not as good as it was 2.5 years ago when I stayed. A little more tired and the beds were softer. Two guys started yelling & fighting outside the west lobby door at midnight on Saturday night, and I believe they were hotel guests. Upon checking out the front desk clerk did not ask how our stay was. Coffee was good, bagels would have been nice. Bathroom was tired, water stains. Noise from hallway and outside could be heard from inside the room. Breakfst was very limited. Realy need some fuit and variety. Unfortunately we were kept awake most of the night because of a noisy dog. Situation was handled by front desk best they could at the time. Stingy Breakfast. no pool. Hotel Front door is not automatic making for a very difficult entry with suitcases etc. Check-in person unprofessional- called out-"what's your name as she walked to the desk from the washroom. I travel a lot and I am used to someone waiting until they are behind the desk,meeting my eyes,smiling and saying,may I help you? The check-out person was polite. The room was clean however the chairs and lampshades were stained which gave it the appearance of a cheap motel. The sheets on the bed did not feel fresh/crisp. $200 deposit check in clerk could hardly speak English No spare tissues or toilet rolls Coffee maker not plugged in - had to move fridge caa discount not allowed because bill had been totalled. pillows were too firm, ended up with a sore neck no gluten free options for breakfast, everything was carbs (yogurt, hard boiled eggs could have been an option as experienced at other hotels with continental breakfast). receptionist on check-in was tired and grumpy - did not smile and take it or leave it attitude. Seemed cheap and dated....I have stayed at a Novotel for less money per night and it was a lot nicer...had glasses in the room vs. paper cups and decent coffee. Also your front desk staff on the day of check out was quite unfriendly. the breakfast room was to small. I have COPD and found the air in the room very stuffy and had difficulty breathing. Breakfast not worth having!. The Hotel Advertisement did not represent the real situation in the Hotel, many poor issues have been hided.
