All within walking distance to subway,bus station,old Montreal and downtown...great place if your on a low budget..... The amazing location, helpful staff.Very friendly staff. Secured place to stay with family. Very friendly. The price is very reasonable.Front desk staff was helpful. The Staff at the Reception were very helpful. I also enjoyed the proximity of the hotel to main metro and to a large variety of restaurants, café, fast food, brasseries, creperie...just name it! A very lively area, indeed!. Very well situated : close to restaurants, cinemas....- calm rooms which are on the opposite side of the street. Very comfortable bed, clean room , great shower.. Good value for money.location, price, car parking. The location is very central for most of the point of interests. 1/2 block to bus terminal. Parking available on site or very near by.Convenient location right in the heart of downtown. Close proximity to subway and parking in the library close by. Ventilation is not good.I like the location of the hotel, u are in the middle of everything. Bars and restaurants, Cafe and stores. Attendants were wiling to help. Close to everything...with a few minor updates this hotel could be anO.k place to stay, but owners don't seem to care. You will never getrepeat clients. A shame for a hotel with such potential. Cons:Breakfast was included, but I must say that the person responsible for the "coffee & danishes" was far from hospitable and even aggressive towards my wife, to a point where I could have intervened physically; but he seemed to have mental problems so I decided not to take it any further. We have definitely ruled out this hotel because of this employee, whom we found threatening.
Henri Laliberté. The only thing not comfortable is no parking on site which is a commonproblem for hotels in downtown. However, there are quite a lot publicparking service around. The soap and the shampoo. That needs to be improved. Else I recommend, guests carry their own toileteries.Breakfast selection wasn't the greatest... Not as such. However, I was not able to take advantage of the breakfast due to the time limit.The staff stood outside with the dood open and smoked. You could smell smoke on the lobby. Very basic room. Not very spacey but good value for the money paid. Truly BASIC breakfast...limited to choice of either 1 croissant or 1 muffin, one cup of coffee and one cup of juice per person.Parking facility. Rooms too dim (need better lighting), was noisy on the street side -- if you want quiet, ask for a room towards the back. The hotel advertises that they have a restaurant where a continental breakfast is served The one very small room with one table should not be called a restaurant. The towels were awful, thin and sometimes raggedy. The coffee at the continental breakfast was weak, but fortunately there was a Starbucks three doors away.The room was nothing to write home about, but if your in Montreal this is a great local!!!. You cann't set the airco per room. The hallways were freezing coldand sometimes it got cold in the room (outside temperature was about28 degree C.no elevator. Day staff was less than friendly, check in staff was nice.My room smelled like smoke and I had to open the window to air it out... Not very nice when it's still winter!. The pub "Le Gentlement's Choice" is near the hotel.Could use some soundproofing. The shower curtain was disgusting. No parking. Noise from nearby strip nightclub annoying. Wooden floors in the building dont allow you to sleep - you hear people in floors above, and when they go running down the stairs. Decoration could be improved. With some work, could become one of the nicest places to stay in Montreal on a budget.very poor breakfast. I didn`t like the room. The room was small.The hotel installations are poor for value. The hotel is located next to a strip club, it was very loud and hard tosleep, both in the morning/night. The air coditioning is controlled bythe staff, so if you are too hot/cold, too bad. The rooms smelled likecigarettes and booze. No elevater, staff unfriendly (with exceptions ofa few), do not stay here! No place for kids. Breakfast= not good. Youget what you pay for. Lesson learned.
