This place deserves much more credit than the reviews here suggest! I don't remember ever giving a max score in a review but Pelican Suites exceeded my expectation in every aspect. The apartment was very nice, the location for our purpose was very good. Bus service to Toronto city was very good and reasonable price. Staff at the reception were well mannered and friendly. The room, apart from some minor problems, is well ventilated, clean and neat. Was given a free upgrade to one of the most expensive room for free. The view from the very top. Very spacious room. Others were not ticketed the same day or other days for parking/waiting in the same location. However the staff at Pelican suites are willing to take care of the ticket. Furniture, blinds and phone in room could have been better maintained. No direct access to parking lot from the gph suite making it somewhat of an inconvenience. There were no tea towels in the kitchen. The pillows, matresses and sheets smelled too much like "febreeze". Luckily we could open windows and use the washing machine to rinse the sheets. There needs to be a pack of information to tell you where to go for the pool, gym, parking - reliant to security. Someone parked in our allocated space and security wanted to charge us for visitor parking until resolved. The curtains are broken. The way the key issue was handled... No staff communication. The furniture in the unit are bad quality, not solid and look like a broken second hand ones. The mattresses are old and do not support back anymore. The sofabed looks dirty and its springs of mattress are loose. It should be trashed instead of using. The chairs of dinner table have loose legs. The unit they have showed us before checking in is totally different from the one they assigned to us later on. The former one looks nice, the furniture looks having better quality. When we first arrived the initial room was not acceptable. The second day they fixed the problem. Very good about addressing my issue. The cleaning . I check out early morning i don't find any charge to collect the suite keys the security refused to received the keys so i wait to the office to open and i return back 1 pm to drop the keys it id very difficult. Kitchen was not smelling fresh and had fish smell all over the place. We could not use the kitchen at all and was of inconvenience. dirty tub & shower no dish cloths, tea towels, no face cloths finding your way around both towers to get to front desk took 2 different elevators patio doors very dirty screen door broken missing alarm clock mirrors dirty cost extra if you want the suite cleaned during your stay broken light switch in the bathroom and burnt out lights. Is not a hotel. The apartment is owned by someone and the company managing it is doing a bad job. The beds were extremely low quality, the utensils and dishes are used extensively and look badly, the kitchen is extremely dirty, the quality of furniture is very poor. I wouldn't recommend to anyone to stay there again. &Quot;Pelican Suites is not a hotel", is a condominium building, where a lot of people is living, so you have to coop with issues such as broken elevators, pets, and people with not manners at all. The staff show me 2 suits. The first was 2 bedroom, really poor conditions, the sofas where ruin, stains all over the walls and carpets. We didn't took that one. The second suit, was a bit better, but still, not very clean, chairs ruined, even the towels where ripped... I wouldn't recommend.
