One of the best low priced hotels I had the pleasure to stay at. The hotel was very quiet, but that's probably because it was off season. The room was clean, neat and made you feel right at home. Excellent views from the balcony on the fourth floor and underground parking. I would definitly stay there again. Very spacious two bedroom suite with great mountain view - in full fall colours. Friendly and very helpful staff. Nice architectural design; rustic lodge blends well within mountain setting. Pleasant stay. Recommended.
all reviews » The lodge is at the base of the Kicking Horse Mountain lifts. Superb scenery. Very nice restaurant at the top of the mountain. Grizzly bear refuge. Interesting to see him. I highly recommend this beautiful and wonderful place it was a dream to stay there and I am taking my family back next summer... So loved our stay. Best wake-up view of any hotel I have ever stayed in. Great to be surrounded by the mountains. Excellent value for the money during the summer. I felt that the Glacier Mountaineer had all the comforts of my own home. I also liked the free dvd selection available to watch. We really loved our stay in the resort, we wish we could have more time to spent on it. Totally recommendable. Fantastic mountain views. Great facility for the wedding we attended w a great chef + wait staff. A nice, clean room with great views on the surrounding mountains. very pleasant 3 bedrooms suite, nice view on the mountains. The room was well equipped. It was easy to check in even though no one was there. They left everything we needed. Fitness center and very quiet Sauna. Couldn't find the ethernet jack to securely connect the laptop in the suite. A note indicating its location would definitely help. Very limited channels on TV. No TV guide. Hotel directory was not very informative. Very late on check in. Our room was not ready until more than one hour after official chechin time. Front desk was very apologetic + offered late checkout. difficult to have a breakfast (no breakfast in the hotel and the cafe opened late). Isolated location road noise Single Elevator. King rooms don't have a screen on the door and no opening window. No air con so we had to upgrade to a suite for an opening window with a screen. Then the bed is only a queen. Unreliable lift. Mice in the room. There were no instructions telling us where the restaurant was, we were no aware it was offsite, but some nice newfies told us where to go. We had the family room as a friend was with us, there were no blinds on the bottom of the bedroom window. The plastic arm that you use to open and close the blinds was on our bed, as though someone started to fix it but ran out of time. We thought for this time of the year, off season, it was a bit pricey. We stay 7 night and we had just one Time houskeeping No microwave And because housekeeping staff was in vacation we had to put ourself our trash in à garage...for 79 dollars à night this is inacceptable.
