Good location and good value. Rooms were comfortable too. I would stay again. the staff was great, service very good, service back to airport wsa great. Love the location, the pool area etc...not the first time we stay here. Clean, staff was excellent and friendly. Price is reasonable. Location is great and overall good value. Lobby nice. Handy to West Edmonton Mall and other shopping.
all reviews » Nice room. Very well organized and neat. Chops (excellent food). Almost everything. The Cleaning person ( Gaylene ) was wondeerfull , friendly and cheerful and did a great job keeping my room clean . Location is central so it was easy for me to get around . Location&restaurants close by. Pool was not monitored. I had to ask twice for towels. People were playing frisbee in the pool and being obnoxious and staff did nothing, so there about 10 of us in the small hot tub. Roomed smelled smokey sometimes and under edges of furniture was sticky, getting to there from airport was a bit complicated. Being that this is not the first time I stay at the Sandman Hotel in West Edmonton... I was dissapointed that I paid the same amount as before (this time booking online... Other times just showed up at the hotel)... But this time for the same amount of money got a much smaller room with much smaller beds. Not worth booking online. Wee hours of the morning there was a sex party going on in the hot tub, about 4 adults, all out nudity,and yes, sex, there should be security cameras at the pool and a night time security. Poor front desk girl was doing her best to take care of the situation , it was by no means her fault at all, she was very friendly. Hallways a bit dark. There was no elevator. Pool was a bit too deep for our grandson who was with us. The parking is very congested. There is construction occurring there however. The pool area is closed too early. We were hoping to get a nice quiet swim in after the families with children left. Very run down / construction dirt and parking was horrible due to construction vehicles and mess . Internet access was horrible , just not a nice as other Sandman locations . It smelled of smoke very very bad. I would not recommend it to someone who is allergic to smoke like my wife. We will NEVER stay or recommend anyone to stay here. The hotel had construction going on, at 7am no less, without informing us, downgraded us to two double beds even though we booked queens, and the beds were horrible. front desk clerk on check in was possibly the most unfriendly person I've encountered in quite a while, not a hint of a smile.
