I enjoyed my stay. The staff were very accommodating. The value for your money for a nice bright, roomy & very clean room. Housekeeping were very friendly. A wonderful hello or good morning from all the staff. Location was perfect & close to all attractions or routes to. Hotel staff & manager was wonderful when it came to helping me find things in the city I wanted to visit. I would recommend this hotel for cleanliness, friendliness, & location. all reviews » The best 3 stars hotel I have ever stayed in so far. It deserve more than 3 stars. There is superstore and McDonald 24hrs across the street. There is bus station in front of Tommy Romans just few meters away from the hotel. You can take bus 6 or 80 to reach southgate centre and metro station to take you to the downtown. Very friendly staff. Helped us find where we were to go, for a funeral and prayer service' by printing a map and instruction sheet for both locations. We were also able to get into our room before three; much appreciated after travelling from Calgary on unpleasant roads. The hotel seems to have been renovated recently, although I agree with others that some of it has been cheaply done. However, this, in my opinion, did not take away from the room being clean and comfortable and for a short stay it is more than adequate. This hotel was great, easy location for us, offered everything we needed for our weekend getaway!!! The staff was friendly and accommodating, the rooms were a nice size and comfortable. We would stay here again :). Everything was very clean and neat- everything worked well and it was so quiet- we never heard a thing once we were inside our room. Also great view of city from balcony. The rooms are clean and spacious. Most of the rooms have a balcony. The television has cable and lots of channels. The beds are comfortable. Laundrymat on second floor, humptys restaurant on main floor, nice and clean gym with good working equipment . Recent renovations are looking good, bed was very comfortable, shower had good pressure and lots of hot water. Free of Pets, Free of Smoking, the room comfort (every thing in it excluding the fan) & it is balcony. We had the misfortune that althoug the floor was a non-smoking floor, some people decided they would smoke some marihuana, which could be smelled in the hallway as well as it began bothering us in our room. Nothing every was great. The pool/waterpark was closed but we knew that when booking :). No chairs on balcony. The staff doesn't greet you upon entering or leaving the hotel. The waterpark is closed. No issues at all with the hotel. But traveling from it was a bit of a hassle going South, lots of traffic hard to merge. Going North from the hotel was okay. The location, the lobby and the noisy room Fan. Person in room next to me smoked out on the Balcony and smoke was always blowing into my room so could not open window or turn on air conditioner because smoke came into my room , I complained but nothing was done ,even though there are no smoking signs all over the room. Lucky we had 2 beds in our room to choose from because one of them was worn out and collapsed. The pillows look great but are way too big to be comfortable. It would be nice to have a mixture of both plump and flatter ones to choose from. Also, the last two times I've stayed there, I have noticed mildew in the showers both black and pink. I realize that the black can sometimes be almost impossible to remove, but the pink is not. I mentioned it to the staff and they took note of it. The pool was down. Big red stains on carpet in room I was staying in. Out door parking. lounge, very boring. A little noisy. Drain above my room dripped most of the night. I was traveliing of my sister. No option for this choice. Nonrefundable, upfront payment through letsbookhotel.com. It suited our needs. Mattress was very lumpy on 1 side. Had to switch sides with my partner. We each suffered a sleepless night. Hair woven into shower curtain. Fan was loud. Room not quite clean. Bedding at the foot of the bed was dirty and stained. Mattresses and pillows not comfortable. room wasn't very clean I found grape stems on the floor and on the base of the lamp, that was kinda gross and the beds were very hard and pillows were chunky and uncomfortable but I guess you get what you pay for. No chairs on balcony, coffee machine wasnt properly cleaned. Internet is atrociously slow, often too slow for emails. I stayed there with my work more than a dozen times, but rates have randomly jumped $30 a night making it out of our budget for the future. Wifi is bad. Bad. No pool. Very disappointed. where was the water feature ?. False advertising in the hotel. This hotel is cheap and smells. They are attempting to renovate and freshen the place up but are doing it on the cheap. I would never stay there again. The staff were unfriendly, the roads in front of the hotel were under construction, which we were not aware of before arriving and it was priced too high for the lack of facilities (no pool) and quality of the rooms. ( shower was dirty and made a loud screeching sound for the entire time it was turned on.) There was no Kleenex or garbage bin in the bathroom.
