One of the better hotels I had encountered during my trip through western Canada. What I mostly will remember is the friendly staff. For larger hotels rather rare these days. They also have an excellent rotating restaurant on the top floor, which provides some nice views from Edmonton along the North Saskatchewan river. The lobby was beautiful, staff were helpful and friendly. The king bed was comfy and the city view was excellent. They even provide a nightlight with your bathroom amenities which was surprising. (In a good way!) The location is great!.
all reviews » I was able to leave my car at the hotel for the entire afternoon after my checkout. A lot of other hotels could take note. Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Wi-fi was excellent. Bed was comfy. The king room we had was great. Very clean and spacious. The bathroom had extra luxury gifts unlike most hotels and the room and an elegant feel to it. The staff was also friendly. Rooms are large and very clean. They also appeared to be recently renovated.Location is great and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. A good value for the money. Quiet . Efficient check in and check out . I felt safe as a solo female traveller and there is good covered parking at the hotel. There is a handy cafe Adjacent the lobby. We first enjoyed the park attendant he was wonderful, the location was perfect for us. Wonderful view, price was great, bed was very comfortable, we've rebooked already. The staff went over and above the call of duty on more than one occasion. Nothing was ever too much to ask. The bed was so comfortable I had a great sleep every night. Hospitality was wonderful and the view was great. Supper at the revolving restaurant was top of the line and we thoroughly enjoyed the relaed atmosphere. our favorite place to stay, clean , friendly staff, nice to be down town in the heart of things, the la ronde resturant is to die for...best food ever!. The parkade is in dire need of repairs, the roof looks ready to collapse in some places and there were car mirrors sitting in the lane between the parkade levels by those unable to navigate the narrow lane. Location was great in that it was downtown but quiet but it was easy to miss in the car, but this is Google's fault and not that of the hotel!. The hotel is in an awkward street and because I had a truck I had to park across the street in public parking for 15$ a night. There was nothing about the hotel I didn't like. Hotel needs better quality coffee. Pillows in room could be improved. More fresh fruit at the breakfast buffet. The breakfast buffet was a little over priced,. Cannot fault it. the only con is the breakfast buffet...there is absolutley no service no one to refill your water or coffee or anything...food is mediocure. We booked a river view and did not get it but I still. Enjoyed the view. The cleanliness of the tub was a little below par and the building. Needs some TLC. It looked a little run down in parts of the hotel such as the parking area. The celing was coming apart. had difficulty locating the hotel. Rooms furniture was quite dated. Dressers and beds seem quite old, not what u expect after you walk into the beautiful lobby. Nowhere to park or even drop off at check in. Very crowded. The furniture in my room was a bit old wih dents and peeling wood. There is no complimentary breakfest included. The TV didn't have a guide button that lists everything that is playing so I had to surf through every channel to see what was playing. Food at La Ronde was disappointing, although the service was good and the view very nice. TV didn't work and one electricity plug. I didn't complain but everything should always be tip-top. The lounge and breakfast restaurant definitely needed some remodelling. Not applicable. The breakfast buffet was not appealing. The only eggs choice was a mexican scramble. Ended up ordering off the menu. Parking cost was very high - windows iced up and the valence was frozen to the window. No refrigerator. Expensive additional parking. underground parking can be confusing. I could not get the tv remote to order a new movie and the clock was not set. Parking under construction. Minor inconvenience.F. The buffet breakfast was very mediocre and the room was too hot at night. Room was dusty and there was a sharp piece of metal on the floor, remote for TV did not work properly. Did not like having to pay for parking. No heated parking, noisy air conditioning. It's a little noisy at night. No fridge no microwave Can't believe that we had to pay a parking fee. grafiti on the room door was bad. Hotel although ok is begining to show it's age scratches, nicks, etc. no complimentary breakfast. Bed - was hard tub was small. No pool. The restaurant, the food was well average. The construction on the streets surrounding the hotel made it difficult to find. the breakfast buffet was the worst i have ever experienced. the one in the cafe.
