The rooms where bright, clean, & very quite. The bed/pullout sofa were very comfortable. I booked a suite with pull out sofa & 1 queen bed. I liked the efficienty kitchen & that fact that the bedroom was separate from the main area. I like the extra emenities - ie: popcorn for late-night snack, plus fresh fruit, juice/water, & cookes available in the front entrance. The breakfast was fantastic - large selection of hot & cold items. The free shuttle was an added bonus -.
all reviews » Five of us stayed in a two-bedroomed suite, overnighting between landing at the airport and picking up a motorhome. This was the best hotel experience of our Canadian holiday; not the swankiest, not the best located, not the most elegant, but by far the most hospitable. Early check-in? No problem. Free cookies and drinks in the foyer. Free popcorn in the suite. Excellent free simple early supper with good home-made soup and DIY subs. Mini-tennis court. Good clean rooms, beds and lime. Good cook. Everything. We could not fault this hotel. The room had everything we needed and more. The kitchen even had a dishwasher ! The bed was really comfortable and the lounge area with fireplace was amazing. The staff were all so friendly and helpful we felt so at home. Each morning there is a free breakfast supplied with cereals fruitless pastries and a selection of cooked items such as bacon eggs omelettes etc and on four weekday evenings there is a complimentary evening meal, usually salad. The Staff and Suites were brilliant, the Staff could not have been more helpful, even finding me a phone charger as I forgot to pack mine. They had all the knowledge needed to find local places to visit and eat. The Suites were a great size with everything you could want for a comfortable stay, very clean and breakfast was delicious on both mornings, great location, would highly recommend. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Apartment was very comfortable, clean and eco-friendly. I was impressed with the fact the shampoo and conditioners etc you didn't use were sent on to charities etc and not thrown out. They provided cooked breakfast and also had a lovely meal from 5-7pm, burgers and salad, tea coffee fruit, cookies which was all part of the price. A free shuttle service to the airport was also provided. Everything. The staff were friendly, the accommodations were excellent. In the court yard there was a tennis court and basketball court. There was a BBQ for guests to utilize. Hot breakfast in the morning, fruit and cookies available throughout the entire day. Free parking for guests. Shuttle to and from the hotel. This is a fantastic place. Will certainly stay here in the future. Really friendly and helpful staff, led from the front by the General Manager. Excellent facilities in the suites (like mini apartments) and very good location. Although a car is really needed, there is a free airport shuttle. Decent complimentary breakfast and light evening meals Mon to Thu. Overall, a really nice stopover hotel which I would definitely use again. I arrived a bit early and checked in with no issues. The kids used the pool and hot tub every day. I used the exercise room. Everything was immaculate and the staff extremely helpful and pleasant. My kids wanted peaches with the morning breakfast and they went beyond their normal menu and got peaches for the kids. I will definitely stay here again. The cookies at the front desk were a nice touch. We had the one bedroom suite and there was a bowl and bag of popcorn ready for us! I found the breakfast quite delicious and there was a variety including oatmeal, yogurt, fresh fruit and other carbs typical of breakfast. Would highly recommend it to anyone staying in the north Calgary area. We had a 2 bedroom suite that was exactly what we were hoping it was. My wife and I stayed in one bedroom while our son, his wife and out granddaughter stayed in the other. It had a full kitchen but we didn't really use it as we were out most of the day(s). The complimentary breakfast was great. The pool and hot tub were clean and usable. I wanted to get the place with a full kitchen for my diabetic girl who is 20 months old. Also it is nice to have one bedroom when there a a child instead of studio. Surprised to find that they are willing to do the dishes. Maid service everyday and nice full buffet breakfast all included. Shuttle service provided as well. Clean comfortable and spatious. Excellent facilities in our suite. Staff attentive and very friendly and helpful. Not just B&B but a supper included Monday to Thursday. Loved the free popcorn and video hire service. Been on the road for over two weeks and this is the best we have encountered. Highly recommended. Large clean room for a very reasonable price .The inclusion of a buffet breakfast and daily juice, sweets and fruit was unexpected but nice. Close proximity to the airport and the Deerfoot Trail was good. All round we found very good value. We will always recommend the Lakeview Signature Inn in Calgary to friends. I enjoyed that they tried to think of everything that could accommodate a visitor - the staff are pleasant (even when being interrupted when doing paperwork) they had a smile and could not do enough for you. They talked to you and spent time asking about you and your day (thank you John, I believe his name was). I particularly like the inclusion of breakfast and a light dinner as part of the package. They also offer a free grocery shopping service that might be helpful to families with small children. I made use of the pool and hot tub ... nice! The service is amazing. The breakfast buffet is extremely good for everyone. The room was excellent . The facilities are great. Free parking. We've stayed at Sheratons, Hyatts, etc... The staff members were excellent - polite, friendly and very helpful, especially the young man ( I think Francisco?) on the front desk when we arrived. Due an issue with our house, we stayed at Lakeview for 12 days. We found the staff very helpul, friendly and curteous. If you didn't need to go to the airport, perhaps it's a little far out but it suited us down to the ground. We really were very impressed. There was nothing I didn't like. What there is is very good, but the facilities are a bit limited. Just remember that it has no pretensions to be a resort hotel. There really wasn't anything negative about our stay!!!. There is nothing to not like. The $100 fee for our small toy poodle was a bit high but when we approached the management they reduced the fee in order to appease us. Nothing as far as I could see. WiFi is free and quite good, although it did fade out on occasion. There was literally nothing I didn't like!. I didn't like the fact that I've missed this place to stay at over the years and wasted my money at those other places, often for less of a room or service, and had to pay for my parking as well !!!. Everything was good. Housekeeping could have been a bit more conciencous. They came everyday and asked if we needed service, but when told we needed more towels, the gave us clean toewls, but failed to remove the dirty ones. This happened twice...strange... Having to leave. Great stay, no complaints!. Nothing, all was good. There was nothing negative that I could even think of. Having to wait for the fridge to produce ice was a little frustrating. Having to wait to check in was an inconvenience. Missed having an oven and would have liked some dish soap for handwashing some dishes but otherwise the kitchenette was fabulous! Bed was a little small but really comfortable!. Rooms was not always maintain properly by cleaning staff. Radio stations changed daily by cleaning staff, which sounds like nit picking but I like to sleep with music on an everyday had to try to find the same station. Nothing. Some loud sound of taking off airplanes can be heard. However, these sounds did not disturb our sleep. Don't worry about airplane sounds. nothing. The only negative things I can come up with are "parking lot not big enough and breakfast items although greatly appreciated, were very limited and poor quality. However we rally enjoyed our stay and had a nice relaxing stay, and we intend to return sometime soon. Would like to see automatic hand sanitizer dispensers at entrance to kitchen area, and travellers asked to use it before picking up food. This is enforced on Princess Cruise Ships. The bed was too soft for my taste. But others probably like it that way, personal taste. Nothing. You are charged for your room immediately when you make the reservation. This is explained up front, but I still don't like it. The charge that would have been applied for our little lap dog! However, the hotel did contact us directly to let us know so that we were able to make alternate arrangements. Thanks for the heads-up!. No issues. All good!. Breakfast room rot eating could of been a little bigger. Shuttle service should be more frequent .Visitors are already tired after the flight and if they have to wait for another 30 to 40 minutes for the shuttle it is annoying.It was the only minus point otherwise it was the best place to stay. I don't like snow. I was there in late November of 2014. There was one day that the hotel staff didn't come to clean the room until 2 P.M. Just when we had to put our baby down for nap. Because we didn't want to wake her child we couldn't get our room clean that day. We did ask about a discount but weren't offered 1. Otherwise, the only complaint was the laundromat. The machines are quite small for the car, which was $2 for a 30 minute wash and $2 for 20 minutes in the dryer. There was an event happening when I first checked in. A birthday party for kids as well as a wedding so there was plenty of noise at the check in. However, the rooms had no noise coming in so that is ok. Considering that a high school marching band had been booked, the breakfast room could have planned for more staff and food to accommodate the influx of guests at breakfast. They ran short on some of the breakfast items. But the staff did quite well under the circumstances. There is nothing. All of our needs were met beyond expectation.
