I really enjoyed the friendliness of the staff. I liked the peacefulness and nature atomospher of the resort. Love the fact that it offers many water activities on site such as canoeing, kayaking etc. close distance to sandbanks beach, offers many sports. I enjoyed my room in the Anex it was updated, sitting area in the back was great to relax. Enjoyed pool, sitting at the beach in the night looking at the sunset and in the morning how clam the water is. Made the most of my stay and had wonder.
all reviews » We liked the resort location, and enjoyed a great meal in the Veranda in the restaurant, and breakfast in the dining room the next morning. We had hoped to be out on the patio, but the weather was a bit too cool. We did enjoy the lake view from our table, and a wonderful evening sunset. Thank you. Lois and Bob Reichard. Upgraded to beach house on arrival. Restaurant on the Knoll was just excellent, along with the lounge. West lake is very warm water. We enjoyed our stay and the close proximity to the Sandbanks. The grounds were nice and the beach and restaurant were enjoyable. It was an excellent place to stay and the staff were wonderful. It was very homey - clean, comfortable. Food was good!. Facilities such as restaurant, ball field and beach. Dinner in the restaurant. Location. location. The location and the staff. Location. Wanted to swim at the beach but too many seaweed discouraged me from entering the water. Spa? Not aware of any but a spa would be nice addition in the future. Sports equipments not in great condition. Tennise racket is broken. Baseketball has no air. Don't have a problem with this but I think the shallow end of the pool is way too deep for non swimmers, perhaps a line to indicate the deep end or a sight outlining how deep the water is. No complaints. The in-room cups,coffee and tea was not replenished after the first room clean. I think the whole exterior of the Inn could stand a fresh paint job. Distance from beach - oh well!. Room not clean, there was some men's dirty underwear in the dresser when we arrive. Plus it was dusty under the dresser, one of the shampoo bottle was half used and they didnt replace it. Would have liked more towels in the bathrooms. Price. overall condition of resort is sloppy and tired; needs to be improved to attain a higher standard of appearance and professionalism of staff;. we found it way too expensive and the rooms need some updates, like fresh paint ,retiled.... Everything else. The room had a moldy scent, housekeeping did not keep up...no drinks in the drink machine... Very run down, looks like it was nice a long time ago. I would not consider this a resort. The rooms are old and very tired looking. Building requires lots and lots of repairs and updating. Room amenities are outdated and very limited. The price for accomadation is grossly overpriced. The decor and service at the restaurant is more suited towards a family diner but the prices reflect a very high end restaurant. too expensive for what we received.
