Very good hotel, the personal too. Clean and comfortable. A good trump of this hotel is the present of a parking place. In Veliko parking is a v big problem. A lot of hotels, certainly most of them are without parking place. Yantra is located in center with a perfect view for this town and close to all sights. Breakfast...very good to. It's a good hotel, close to city center and touristic atttraction (walking distance from Tzarevets). The rooms are clean and confortable our suite had a breathtaking view over Tzarevets fortress), free Wi-Fi, free pool. Overallcan be a good choice for a night or a week-end in Veliko Tarnovo.
all reviews » Large room with a nicely done bath. Staff was ok but not a lot of help. Breakfast was good buffet with lots of choices. Room furnishings were basic. Walls were very thin, we could hear the neighbors and the children on the floor above running in the hall. Friendly staff , good location in the city , nice view towards historical part of the city , good welness center , breakfast also was very good . The hotel is clean , renovated , i-net is free and fast , parking in front of the gate . Very friendly staff, nice rooms, we had one with a view to the fortress, relaxing pool, hut tub and gym, good massage. Good place ti stay in Veliko Tarnovo. There are not enough parkig places at the hotel, and parking valets it's not very skilled (they manage to park some cars in so manner that our friends car was blocked and we have to stay there over one hour untill they solve the situation). Very unpleasant situation when you are in hurry !. In general we were satisfied , nothing to mention here . Some wierd smell from the carpets, probably the cleaning substance. Not very clean in all areas, some windows in restaurant, for example. Carpet on the floor in the room looked worn and maybe that gives a smell of old in the air. The bathroom's door was inflated by moisture and could not be closed plus there was a big window next to the tub that made me feel uncomfortable being there naked. The pool was a bit small. A balcony would have been perfect. it was a bit nosey late at night due to the music in the restaurant. 1- there is no safety box in the room, when I asked about the safety box they told me that the safety box is in the reception only. 2- our room was near the train railway and there was a little noise comes when the train passes. 3- the shop close at 7 pm. Not very clean, we have found forgotten sock behind curtain from previous guests. Limited breakfast served in a not cozy premise on empty tables without cutlery. The WI-FI signal was quite poor. It's a pure absurd to pay extra for a sauna package, if it's advertised as a hotel with spa!!!. It might need a bit of fine tuning in terms of interior design, etc. Close to railway and heavy traffic road. In this period the city is undergoing water pipes changing and road repairing so hard time to drive + lot of dust. small parking place closed lobby bar breakfast menu is poor. Nothing. Too few chairs at the pool sauna only with extra money food not really sofisticated. The room was smelling bad (most probably because of a wet carpet). - The breakfast was poor. I arrived at 9.50, 10 minutes before finish and there were no desserts left. They didn't bring nothing extra. - the receptionist was kind of rude at the arrival. Lifts. Breakfast a bit limited in options. Odd smell in the room.The staff. smell of cigarette. The SPA center. I ordered an massage (some tukish style or similar). It was not worthy. Under their prices it was for 50 minutes, it was not more than 30-35. Nothing spacial and it was not cover its price. Do not recommend it. the breakfast. The lack of disabled parking was very poor and I felt discriminated against. Also police stopped ONLY non VT travellers on the main street for travelling in the wrong direction. A complaint has been lodged with the interior ministry for corrupt practices. the parking. Cold jakuzzi. --- Rooms on the street side of the hotel are very very noisy (and we got one of these) - Room very basic (definitely not 4*) - Limited choice of foreign language TV channels - SPA&pool close at 9 PM. Not a 4 star room, definitely. Looks more like a 3 star hotel. Bad smell in the room, A/C ancient, very old furniture. First morning I woke up there was not running water. The receptionist smiled at me like I was telling her jokes. Situation was remedied late afternoon. Room had a very bad smell (possibly, of sewer system), climate-control system could not be regulated (only off/on) and it was impossible to set up nice temperature in the night, staff is either interfering (hall-boy), or indifferent (restaurant).
