Very kindly stuff!. It is a big hotel and I would have liked a map of the hotel in my room.Apart from that it was superb.Good location, lovely facilities, attentive organised staff, good food and good service. Everything were great especially the restaurants.Room size, quiet, view. Staff were very polite and helpful (including the maintenance staff not normally noted but assisted me greatly with a vehicle problem). Choice of resteraunts and refreshment venues within the hotel excellent.

As an 'English' only speaker a floor plan would have been useful as whenI asked where facilities were I was not understood. Also, I bought amagazine for 10 levs and discovered it was not new! Far too much for asecond-hand magazine.No, I thought it was pretty good value for money. All the receptionists must be polate. personal training, I waited taxi 40 min. Rooms are still being upgraded even though work commenced january 2007. Room was comfortable but decor/furnishings outdated. It is way out of the center of Sofia. you should try to get one of the renovated rooms - the older ones are realy used. The window frames are old and the noise from the street was coming in. Any movement in the corridors and in the rooms next to you was heard in full. ie the isolation of the rooms made it difficult to sleep. The mentality of the staff, mainly at the reception desk, they were not kind at all. These type of hotels ( 5 stars categories) should have had some extra facilities eg. iron, tooth brush and tooth paste as well as safe box in the rooms. Furniture were old and not so good. the bathroom. room interior decoration, old bathroom facilities. Standard rooms are old fashioned concerning simple technology like acard key, an alarm clock, a clock. Complaints about faulty taps in thebath were taken care of only two days after the were made and threephone calls. No information about Sofia in the room.internet service verey bed . it is in need of upgrade -especially the rooms . For a five star it is only adequate. rooms looked tired and in need of updating. Noisy elevator. Wrong pillows.My floor had not yet been refurbished and was not good value for money as it was very dated. everything from staff to rooms.............disgusted doen not deserve 5 stars. We reserved a non smoking room and it smelled strongly of old sgarettes, the bathrom smelled like a sewer and made the impression of the whole room being dirty. upon our arrival the receptionist could not find our reservation and was not polite. I stayed in the Kempinski in Golden sands last year and was very impressed and satisfied, that was why I reserved this hotel in Sofia. A big mistake!!!. it's not a kempinski level. Very dirty room, requested non-smoking, but had very strong smell ofsmoke!.

Arriving by plane If you have reserved an airport transfer with the hotel, the hotel representative will indicate your name on a welcome board and get you to the hotel. Arriving by car Sofia is relatively close to the borders of Serbia and Macedonia. Once in Sofia, drive to the city’s South, towards Lozenets district. The hotel is located within the residential subdivision of Lozenets. It is the tallest building on the Lozenets hill. Arriving by train or bus Exit the Central Railway or Bus Station. Take preferably a yellow taxi with the blue OK logo painted on it. OK taxis are priced correctly and are considered to be reliable. Ask for the Kempinski hotel in Lozenets. The cab ride will take you some 12 minutes.
